Halle Berry became a big name after a string of supporting roles in the 90s with the superhero film X-Men in 2000. Berry played the iconic X-Men character Storm and it is arguably her most popular role. However, she would also be remembered for playing one of the most iconic Bond girls in 2002’s Die Another Day.
Halle Berry played Storm in multiple X-Men films
Berry starred opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film, and her role as Jinx was different from others in the past as she helped move the plot instead of being reduced to a damsel in distress. However, Berry faced an embarrassing moment during an intimate scene with Brosnan in the film.

When writer-director Chloe Domont sat behind an audience watching her debut film, ‘Fair Play,’ at the Sundance Film Festival in January, her eyes were locked on the 80-something-year-old man sitting in front of her. “There’s no way he’s the target audience,” she thought. “I hope I don’t give this man a heart attack.”
It’s not a crazy concern. The film’s opening sequence unfolds in the bathroom of a wedding as two guests sneak away to have sex, not realizing their mid-reception quickie will be grossly betrayed by a mess of menstrual blood. It’s funny, shocking and maybe a little terrifying to imagine the racy scene playing out in front of someone who could be your grandfather.

Netflix’s “Our Man From Jersey,” starring Halle Berry, Mark Wahlberg and J.K. Simmons, is coming close to wrapping its shoot in Croatia and Slovenia, according to Film New Europe.
The film, based on a screenplay by David Guggenheim and Joe Barton, has been described as a “blue-collar James Bond.” Wahlberg plays a down-to-earth construction worker from Jersey, who is thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high-school ex-girlfriend Roxanne (Berry) recruits him on a high-stakes U.S. intelligence mission.
It is directed by Julian Farino, and produced by the U.S.’s Closest to the Hole Productions, owned by Wahlberg. The producers are Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Jeff Waxman.
The producers have applied for Croatia’s 25 cash rebate under the working title “The Union,” so the Croatian Audiovisual Center could only confirm a project of such a name was filmed in the country during September.

Benedict Cumberbatch returns to PBS Masterpiece on April 1. However, he isn’t playing Sherlock, the role for which he won an Emmy in 2014. Rather he is headlining an acclaimed adaptation of Ian McEwan‘s 1987 bestseller “The Child in Time.” McEwan also wrote “Atonement,” which was adapted into the 2007 Oscar-winning film that launched Cumberbatch’s career. In this new film, for which he earned rave reviews, he plays Stephen Lewis, a children’s author whose marriage is rocked by the loss of his daughter.
This is a passion project for the actor who readily admits, “I read the novel years ago and it stayed with me: profound, beautiful and very moving. Only Ian McEwan could write about loss with such telling honesty.” And he is just as enthusiastic about his partners. “We’re very excited to have Stephen Butchard’s subtle and brilliant adaptation, and in Julian Farino we have an...

“The Child in Time” is a challenge to watch, especially in the beginning as it spins its tale of loss by shuttling back and forth chronologically. We see the emotionally spare present-day life of children’s author Stephen Lewis (Benedict Cumberbatch) juxtaposed with flashbacks to the despair of the previous year, when his young daughter Kate goes missing while she’s out with him.

As brutal as it is, dipping back in time over and over again serves several purposes. It clues viewers in to the breakdown of Stephen’s marriage with grieving wife Julie (Kelly Macdonald), it keeps the pain fresh for viewers so that we understand Stephen’s daily purgatory in the present, and it also introduces the concept of how time is not merely a linear experience when it comes to emotions.

“Keep breathing”. The final words from Benedict Cumberbatch’s character in A Child In Time are a summary of its message. Through trauma and though loss, the film urges, keep going. Keep breathing.
When their three year old daughter Kate goes missing from a busy supermarket, central characters Stephen and Julie (Cumberbatch and Kelly Macdonald) suffer the kind of loss from which recovery seems impossible. Kate is never found and her fate is never told. She spends the film both alive and dead, a presence and an absence.
The Child In Time though, isn’t Kate’s story; it’s Stephen’s. And it’s resolutely a story about emotional resilience, not child abduction. In...

Benedict Cumberbatch fans, get ready for your first look at the star’s latest TV drama, as the BBC have now revealed a 40-second teaser trailer for The Child in Time, the adaptation of the haunting 1987 novel from acclaimed writer Ian McEwan.
The drama sees Cumberbatch and Trainspotting‘s Kelly Macdonald as Stephen and Julie Lewis, a children’s author and his estranged wife whose young daughter goes missing on an everyday trip to the supermarket. The drama then explores their grief, with the trailer leaving it ambiguous whether the couple’s visions of their daughter are just in their minds or are the result of something more supernatural. It promises to be a harrowing depiction of death and loss and we can’t wait to see more.
As fans will know, this is the second time that Cumberbatch has starred in an adaptation of one of Ian McEwan’s novels.

‘Franchise viagra’ man Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is taking a time out from global gallivanting and taking out bad guys with a swift flex of the bicep. Ahead of any potential involvement in another Fast & Furious instalment, he can next be seen onscreen in HBO’s upcoming comedy Ballers. The ten-episode season kicks off this summer with Johnson in the lead role as former football superstar Spencer Strasmore, whose post-career job finds him training upcoming athletes.
And to get you game-ready, Johnson himself has dropped the first trailer online. At first glance it seems to bear the hallmarks of its executive producer Mark Wahlberg’s handiwork (i.e. it’s a bit Entourage-esque), but that’s in no way a disparaging comparison. For the most part, the series looks to be finally making the most of Johnson’s comedic skills, which are usually only grazed upon in his big screen outings.

Unless you are a Dr. Who fan — in which you'd immediately recognize him as the ninth version of the time-traveling doctor — Christopher Eccleston is one of those character actors who usually prompts a "where have I seen him before?" reaction. It might have been as the flatmate whose greed drives him insane in Danny Boyle's Shallow Grave (1994) or as the powermad military man fighting off the infected in 28 Days Later... (2002). He may be familiar to you as a metaphorically ghostly presence in The Others (2001) or a literal invisible man from the NBC show Heroes.

Exclusive: Writer Jay Reiss has signed with Wme for representation. Reiss, who had been at CAA, co-wrote the award-winning Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and the dark Julian Farino-directed comedy The Oranges. His movie scripts certainly seem to draw stars. He most recently completed The Complete History Of My Sexual Failures for Universal, a comedy to star former Saturday Night Live (boy is he missed) castmember Jason Sudeikis. Reiss is currently writing Family Therapy at Universal for Jason Bateman, Crazy You at New Line for Will Ferrell, and The League Of Extraordinary Princesses at Fox Animation. The writer continues to be repped by Mosaic and Bloom Hergott.

Toby Jones is to star in an upcoming BBC Two film.
The Captain America actor will lead the cast in the one-off 90-minute TV movie Marvellous, from Fifty Fathoms and Tiger Aspect.
Marvellous is based on the life of Neil Baldwin, a man who came to prominence after writer Peter Bowker's 2010 article in The Guardian.
"Neil Baldwin walked into the students' union in 1960, an engaging schoolboy with learning difficulties from the local town of Newcastle-under-Lyme, and became a fixture," Bowker said.
The film is a biopic of Baldwin, a man who worked as a circus clown, lay preacher and kit man at Stoke City. He is good friends with top athletes and senior clergy, and was awarded an Honorary Degree by Keele University for his 50-year association with Keele University.
Bowker said: "I have long been interested in how we use labels to limit the people we are describing - even,...

The Us military’s apparent use of chemical weapons has been a looming story over much of The Newsroom’s second season, with the story of the Genoa mission and its implications not escaping anyone who learned of the case. Previous episodes have indicated that something goes terribly wrong with the story, necessitating the presence of a high-priced lawyer to clean up the ensuing mess, casting a shadow of dread throughout the developments. The story comes to a head this week, with the Acn team going live with the news of Genoa as the final pieces click into place, leading to a compelling episode that explores the idea of bending small truths to get to a larger one.
