Supernatural star Mark Sheppard has had another brush with death after his sixth severe heart attack. The actor had to be resuscitated four times after he collapsed in his kitchen.
Famous for his portrayal of the demon/King of Hell on Supernatural, Sheppard, 59, expressed gratitude to his wife, Sarah Louise Fudge, for saving his life, as well as the medical staff who cared for him.
In an Instagram post, Mark shared a selfie from his hospital bed, which showed multiple heart monitor devices attached to his chest. He still managed a slight smile.
His caption read, “You’re not going to believe this!”
He continued, “Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen. Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from dead 4 times, I apparently had a 100% blockage in my Lad.”
He admitted that his recovery was not expected.

Mark Sheppard, the actor best known for playing Crowley on Supernatural, had a surreal experience of his own over the weekend, suffering – and surviving – six heart attacks after collapsing in his home.
Mark Sheppard took to social media just one day after to inform fans of the incident and update them on his progress, posting from his hospital bed, “You’re not going to believe this! Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen. Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from dead 4 times I apparently had a 100% blockage in my Lad [left anterior descending artery]. The Widowmaker. If not for my wife, the @losangelesfiredepartment at mullholland and the incredible staff @providencecalifornia St Joseph’s – I wouldn’t be writing this. My chances of survival were virtually nil. I feel great. Humbled once more. Home tomorrow!” That would put Sheppard back home on Monday, a tremendous turnaround.

Doomsday is drawing near in the latest installment of HBO Max‘s Doom Patrol.
The trailer for Season 4, which was released Tuesday, Mark Sheppard’s Willoughby Kipling warns: “Something very big and very dangerous is headed our way. Immortus is real, and it’s coming. We are wandering into the literal end of days as we speak.”
The Immortus Project appears to be a looming threat, explained only as the pursuit for immortality. It’s not clear what big bad the Doom Patrol will be facing, but it may have something to do with the DC supervillain General Immortus, who was introduced in the 1950s as an enemy of the Doom Patrol. In the trailer, the group eventually comes to the conclusion that the only way to win is to travel back in time.

Saving people, hunting things, and tracking down a missing father? Although "The Winchesters" makes many much-appreciated changes to the DNA of "Supernatural," the prequel still shares plenty in common with its predecessor. So why not multiply the fun with the addition of some familiar faces?
Set in the '70s, "The Winchesters" follows John Winchester (Drake Rodger) and Mary Campbell (Meg Donnelly) as they work to uncover their parents' mysterious past. Their story may take place decades before the events of "Supernatural," but what kind of prequel doesn't find an excuse to throw in some blasts from the past? This world is basically built for these kinds of weird, inexplicable circumstances!
The writers have magic, time travel, and God at their disposal — all of which are great ways to explain how a character from the distant future can appear in this prequel. And based on the words of showrunner Robbie Thompson,...

The Wild West was a rough and tumble place, so it’s kind of fitting that the series premiere of Walker Independence begins with a tumble in the sheets in a wagon headed out West that ends in tragedy.
The Walker prequel spinoff introduces us to educated Bostonian Abigail Collins (played by Arrow‘s Katherine McNamara), who is making the trek to the booming frontier town of Independence, Texas, with her cop husband Liam. They’re both looking for a fresh start away from the corruption of Boston. But Abby feels like Liam, who is set to be Independence’s new sheriff,...

The animated Netflix "Castlevania" series has no shortage of talented voice actors, including Richard Armitage, Lance Reddick, and Bill Nighy, but one familiar voice might be harder to put a face on. Actor Emily Swallow is no stranger to genre storytelling, breathing life into characters from major geek properties in animation and live-action, but two of her most recent major roles have kept her face completely out of sight.
In "Castlevania," which expands on the lore from the Konami video game franchise, she voices the beautiful and tragic Lisa Tepes. Lisa is the beloved wife of Vlad Tepes (Graham McTavish), better known as Dracula, and together they have a son, Alucard (James Callis), who serves as one of the main protagonists of the series. Lisa was vital to the series, as her death causes Dracula to curse all of humanity and begin his war against them. She serves as the catalyst for incredible destruction,...

It goes without saying that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) are the heart of "Supernatural." Throughout its 15-season run, the monster-slaying brothers were the face of the CW series: its story begins and ends with them, saving people, hunting things and living up to their family legacy. But its also true that they couldn't have saved the world from multiple apocalypses without a little help from their friends.
As the seasons progressed, what began as a story about two brothers searching for their father became a beautiful example of the power of found family. It's hard to remember a time before Castiel (Misha Collins) was a core part of their team and, while he's only introduced in the last couple of seasons, Jack Kline (Alexander Calvert) later becomes a crucial addition to their family.

Both "Supernatural" and "Doctor Who" fans love Mark Sheppard. For fans of the long-running paranormal series, the actor is well-known for playing the frequently recurring villain Crowley — the King of Crossroads and King of Hell (albeit in Lucifer's absence). The actor nailed Crowley's devious, charming but manipulative persona in the show, capturing the character's usual suave facade with great authenticity. Along with "Doom Patrol," Sheppard has also starred in two episodes of BBC's hit sci-fi series "Doctor Who," portraying Canton Everett Delaware II, a man who accompanies Matt Smith's Doctor and his companions on a secret mission to America.
Then, Sheppard had to navigate through filming two of television's biggest shows at the same time, which was not an easy job. Sheppard went through a particularly challenging ordeal: Filming a multi-season series can be grueling because there's hardly any time for actors to take on different projects, and...

"Get ready for the finale with cast interviews from Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and Alexander Calvert, with creator Eric Kripke, executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb, and special guest stars Jim Beaver, Samantha Smith, Ruth Connell, Kim Rhodes and Mark Sheppard," reads the logline for the retrospective.

"Today is the final day of a 15 year journey. One that has changed my life forever. To those I have worked with on this journey and to those who have watched and supported...you will never understand my great appreciation for you," he added.
“Thank you doesn’t cover it. There just aren’t words. I’m so grateful for these memories that I will carry with me forever," he said to his fans.

Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 1
The first season of Doom Patrol was the kind of outing that shouldn’t have worked. The band of misfit heroes (who could swear) felt like a premise that would wear thin – as did the novelty of Alan Tudyk as a narrating super villain, and a talking cockroach with apocalypse on his mind. Yet, the show successfully managed a balance of oddball concepts, violence, humor and strong development of characters struggling with serious trauma. Now, with the second season premiere, “Fun-Size Patrol,” the show returns with solid footing that manages to be heartbreaking, and hilarious. And yes, there is still a lot of swearing.
Picking up a short time after the events of the first season finale – where Tudyk’s villain Mr. Nobody was thwarted, a giant cockroach and rat made out, and The Chief (Timothy Dalton) was revealed to...

The Winchester boys have finally reached the end of the road. In March, The CW announced that the upcoming 15th season of Supernatural would be the show's last. While it's going to be bittersweet to say goodbye to Sam, Dean, and Castiel, the writers have set up a doozy of a final showdown for the boys to contend with. Season 14 ends with the beloved trio facing down a horde of the undead as God/Chuck releases all the souls from Heaven and Hell, proving himself to be the ultimate big bad in the process. Meanwhile, Jack is dead and stuck in the Empty having a chat with Death. All in all, things aren't looking great for Team Free Will, but in true Winchester fashion, we bet the boys will go out fighting.

How does Doom Patrol confront the threat of the "De-Creator?" Why, with a "Re-Creator" of course!

Doom Patrol Episode 5
“Honey, I just traveled all the way from Jersey to Barcelona, cut open a priest, climbed inside him, and landed in a snow globe, and now I’m standing here talking to a friggin' robot man.”
And that is Doom Patrol, friends. The weirdness, and dark humor, make it a fun ride, but the emotional arcs of these characters makes it a great show. After all, in this week’s hero/villain team-up – with a “bit wonky” plan to start a religion to stop a cult -- we have prophetic cockroach Ezekiel debating the production of cheese post-apocalypse in the same episode as a younger Jane endures abuse at a mental facility, and Larry continues to unravel due to his own self-loathing, and identity crisis.

Doom Patrol Episode 4
The world of magic is introduced to Doom Patrol this week with a fourth episode that, while good, is a frustrating detour from the main mission of finding the Chief, and stopping Mr. Nobody. But, as far a two-episode side adventure goes, “Cult Patrol” succeeds largely due to the arrival of Mark Sheppard as Nonstantine chaos magician Willoughby Kipling, a character straight from the comic books.
Sheppard is the kind of actor who automatically injects any show he’s on with energy, and mischief, and Kipling is one those roles he seems born to play (and reunites him with Supernatural producer Jeremy Carver).

For the first few seasons after “Supernatural” debuted on the then-WB network in 2005 the show constantly lived on the bubble, with writers, producers and stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki unsure of its fate. But what a difference a few years, or in this case 14, can make. Now the show is not only a utility player ranking in the top three highest-rated shows on the CW network, but it is also hitting its 300th-episode milestone amid revitalizing other areas of the television business, from international sales to merchandising.

This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
Supernatural will be airing its 300th episode this month, a milestone very few shows of any kind reach, and even fewer genre shows. In nearly 300 episodes, of course, there have been some stinkers, and there have been moments of brilliance. Supernatural has done scary episodes, gross-out episodes, funny episodes, tragic episodes, tragically funny episodes and episodes set on its own soundstage.
Here are 20 of the very best.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the Season 13 premiere, titled “Lost and Found.”]
For “Supernatural,” 13 is a lucky number considering The CW series has lasted this long. After watching the premiere of the 13th season, its new, more poignant approach to the Winchesters’ story could be exactly what the show needs to keep on going for another 13 more years.
The premiere picks up with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) still reeling from the loss of so many: their mother Mary (Samantha Smith) whom Lucifer (Pellegrino) took care of, Castiel (Misha Collins), and Crowley (Mark Sheppard). Even for a show with a high body count, those deaths have to sting and make a difference to our heroes. And they do. Despite what viewers know – that Castiel will be back in some form, and that Mary is in the alternate world with Lucifer – there’s a mournful yet resigned tone to the episode. This is the reality when you hunt monsters, and maybe too,...

Although most of the specifics regarding the upcoming season of Supernatural remain shrouded in mystery, one thing’s for certain: Lucifer’s son, Jack, is someone we’re going to be seeing a whole lot of. In fact, Entertainment Weekly was able to confirm just as much by reporting that Alexander Calvert (Arrow‘s Anarky) will be a series regular.
Truth be told, I’m a little surprised to hear such news, mostly due to the fact that it took fan favorites such as Mark A. Sheppard (Crowley) and Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer himself) years to be granted such a privilege. That aside, this gives us a minor inkling as to how greatly Jack must factor into the producers’ plans over the course of the next year.
Before proceeding any further, let’s take a look at the character description provided for the latest addition to the principal cast:
