Darren Criss is reuniting with former Glee co-stars Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist for some musical mischief on Tuesday’s The Flash-Supergirl musical crossover, but first, he’s gotta catch them!
In Et’s exclusive first look at the final moments of Monday’s Supergirl, fans get to see how Criss’ Music Meister bridges the gap between worlds to bring Barry Allen (Gustin) and Kara Zor-El (Benoist) back together.
“We have a new prisoner coming in today,” J'onn J'onzz (David Harewood) announces to the team at the Department of Extra-Normal Operations, including Supergirl and Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). “He’s not our typical guest, so look sharp.”

From the first chord of Grease: Live, which aired last night on Fox, the powers that be behind the production seemed to be shouting: “Don’t worry! We listened to you!” With the inclusion of a live audience, source material that is iconic yet still very digestible for a young and modern audience, and a refreshingly diverse cast, the special seemed to be getting ahead of the negative reviews that plagued its TV musical predecessors, The Sound Of Music Live! and Peter Pan Live!
Unfortunately, despite Grease: Live’s stunning vocal performances and outstanding direction, lackluster performances from its lead players and a bland script left the special unable to truly set itself apart from the ever-growing crowd of modern TV musicals.
With an updated book by Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins, Grease: Live told the familiar story of Danny (Aaron Tveit) and Sandy (Julianne Hough) – two teens who have a kinda-sorta star-crossed courtship,...

Oxygen says it hasn't exactly canceled The Glee Project just yet, despite reports that the show is in danger, girl. "The Glee Project has not been canceled," a spokesperson told the Wrap. But it hasn't been renewed, either — though neither has Glee itself. Tgp is legitimately great, and it's everything a reality contest show should be: It's about talent! Each week seems legitimately challenging for the contestants! It's engaging without being contrived! Even the judges (including Ryan Murphy) made reasonable decisions and seemed invested in the outcomes. If Tgp does indeed bite the dust, someone needs to give judge/mentor/choreographer/ass-kicker Zach Woodlee another show. That guy is the best.

In the United States, it's Thanksgiving, and I wanted to take a minute to say how grateful I am to my readers for coming back every day and providing better commentary than I do, my great boss Dennis, coworkers like snicks, Louis, Brian, Lyle and all our writers and moderators. I'm amazed every day that I get paid to do this, and that people actually care what I say.

The Dalton Academy Warblers might have a new leader on "Glee" -- actor Nolan Gerard Funk has signed up as the latest head Warbler for Season 4 -- but that doesn't mean its old one won't be back. Grant Gustin is definitely returning as evil mastermind Sebastian.
Gustin stirred suspicion when he tweeted at "Glee's" choreographer (and "The Glee Project" judge) Zach Woodlee on Oct. 23, writing, "I can't walk. I can barely sit. I don't even remember my name. @ZachWoodlee & @brookelipton I love/hate you both"
Earlier on Oct. 25, he tweeted a picture of dress shoes with the caption "Warbler gold in a row." TVLine confirmed that yes, Gustin will be back in a blazer for several new episodes beginning in November.
Are you happy to see Sebastian back, or would you rather he stayed away after all the trouble he caused Klaine last year?...

Say what you want about The Glee Project, but it’s one of the few reality series on television that doesn’t add an extra hour or two of padding to its season finale. So tonight, instead of a bloated two- or three-hour endurance test to get us to an announcement that took all of 10 seconds, we got an action-packed hour that shone a spotlight on the respective strengths and weaknesses of the Season 2 Top 3: Aylin, Ali, and Blake.
What we didn’t get, alas, was relief from the “boys rule” doctrine that’s dominated music-centric reality competition series for half a decade now.

"The Glee Project" wraps up Season 2 on Tuesday, Aug. 14 when finalists Ali Stoker, Blake Jenner and Aylin Bayramoglu battle it out for a role on "Glee". But which of the three triple-threats deserves a seven-episode arc on "Glee"? And which one has the best shot at being chosen by executive producer Ryan Murphy? Let's handicap the final three:
Ali
The 24-year-old has a great personality and is always willing to do another take and improve her performance. She is extremely determined and has an interesting storyline, perhaps similar to Artie's (Kevin McHale). Ali has won two homework assignments and has been praised by both Robert Ulrich and Zach Woodlee for her determination. That being said, her voice is more geared toward musical theater. Aside from Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer), most of the singers lean more towards pop music. Show writer Ian Brennan saw Ali's character as a "promiscuous bitch,...

As any fan of "The Glee Project" knows, Zach Woodlee might be the smiliest person on TV. But it's not like the "Glee" choreographer can help it. "I have so many photos of me where I'm laughing like a crazy person," Woodlee told HuffPost TV. "I don't know what it is, but I just go with it."
For years Woodlee has been churning out high-energy dance numbers for Fox's hit comedy "Glee," but lately he's been bringing his enthusiasm to the set of Oxygen's "The Glee Project." The search for the next "Glee" star hasn't been easy, especially when the remaining five -- Aylin, Michael, Lily, Ali and Blake -- all "deserve to be on the show," according to Woodlee.

This week’s Glee Project went beyond the stated task of testing the final seven contestants on their tenacity, and turned into a grueling gauntlet that pushed the would-be Damian McGintys to the physical and emotional breaking point.

Blake has gotten so-so reviews over the past few weeks on "The Glee Project" Season 2, but the 19-year-old singer steps up his game during "Theatricality 2," airing Tuesday, July 17 on Oxygen.
In Zap2it's exclusive first look at the episode, Robert Ulrich and Zach Woodlee are very impressed with Blake's portrayal of Boy George in the "Glee" hopefuls' latest music video shoot. The contestants are all challenging rock and pop icons, and Blake puts extra thought into his character.
"I'm not going to go straight for the stereotypical way of playing a gay man," he explains. "I have a homosexual brother, so I know that it's not all about being sassy."
Check out what Ulrich has to say about it in the clip below.

This week was full of surprises, so let’s get right to it …
Some highlights of this week’s episode, “Adaptability”
Warning! Spoilers ahead.
Aylin & Charlie: "Let’s hug it out!"
The week begins with Aylin and Charlie deciding to put their budding flirtation aside and focus on the competition. Good idea when you’re on a televised reality competition. They seal the deal with an awkward brother-sister type hug/shove.
Mentor/casting director Robert Ulrich announces that this week’s theme is adaptability, something a performer on Glee will need in spades.
Michael (center) intends to shine this week
Michael is very excited because he thinks this theme will help him be more spontaneous and stop overthinking his performances. Mario thinks he’ll do well with the theme, while Lily isn’t thrilled about it. Then all of the contestants find out that they have to sing the song solo.

Tyler Ford seemed like a shoe-in to make it to "The Glee Project" Season 2 finale. The 21-year-old was the show's first-ever transgender contestant, and "Glee" mastermind Ryan Murphy was immediately drawn to Ford's charisma and unbreakable spirit.
Unfortunately, during this week's episode, which challenged the "Glee" hopefuls to showcase their sexy sides, Ford just couldn't stand out among his fellow competitors, and for the third time, he was asked to perform in front of Murphy. Despite being praised by "Glee Project" mentors Zach Woodlee and Robert Ulrich for his growth throughout the competition, Ford wasn't on Murphy's call-back list.

If you want to succeed on "The Glee Project," (Tuesdays at 10 p.m. Et on Oxygen), you have to be confident in your sexuality, which is why this week's theme sees the contestants channeling their inner Santana for a sultry mash-up of "Milkshake" and "Moves Like Jagger."
The contestants will take tips on bringing sexy back from "Glee's" Naya Rivera and they'll be put through their paces by choreographer Zach Woodlee for a suitably saucy dance routine. HuffPost TV has an exclusive preview of their rehearsal above. As you might expect, a few of the contenders struggle with the challenge more than others ...
The week's theme won't be the only reason temperatures start to rise, since the episode will also see a certain couple growing closer, with their flirtation even coming to the attention of vocal coach Nikki Anders. (Good thing the week's focus isn't on "subtlety.")

In episode two of the “Let’s all suck up to Ryan Murphy” show, we got the best homework assignment ever, the worst music video ever, and two people went home: it’s dance-ability week! Right at the start of the show, Taryn, who was almost in the bottom three last week, chose to leave the competition unexpectedly. She was last seen on the phone with her mom and then she was gone. I thought it was weird that she didn’t get a chance to explain her decision, although it was most likely due to homesickness. The other contestants didn’t get a chance to be sad about her departure however, because they had some dancing to do.

This week’s installment of The Glee Project found ship’s captain Ryan Murphy asking a question that endlessly plagues judges and fans of reality competition: “Do you cut someone because their attitude sucks?”
And given that we’re only on Episode 2 — where, unless you’re being asked to curl up on a bed of hungry leeches on Fear Factor, one’s attitude should reside somewhere at the corner of Chipper and Grateful — part of me was rooting for Mr. Murphy to answer that quesiton with a resounding “Heck, yeah.”
Luckily for Lily, who’s clearly grown up inside a cocoon of “that was perfection!

If Zach Woodlee can teach Glee front-man Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) how to move, then he can work some magic with The Glee Project's 12 remaining contenders, right?
This week's episode is all about Dance-ability, which should prove challenging for some of these kids. In particular, Tyler, who seems to have two left feet, might find himself in a bit of a predicament.
Enter Robert with the Homework! Tyler's nervous, as is Dani. For the homework number, they'll be performing "We Got the Beat" by The Go-Gos. Ali wants a line about going round and round and round because she's in a wheelchair, but Mario wants that line to do something cool with the vocals.
Taryn doesn't really like working with the others and is feeling a little homesick. She decides to leave the competition. Robert says she wasn't coping well with the pressure. And it's only week two.

The second season of "The Glee Project" kicked off Tuesday night, and country crooner Maxfield had the unfortunate honor of being the first "Glee" hopeful to be eliminated.
The 22-year-old singer/songwriter from Nashville just didn't have enough personality for "Glee" showrunner Ryan Murphy. However, Maxfield says he is still grateful for his "Glee Project" experience -- and at least he got to meet Lea Michele before getting the boot.
HuffPost TV chatted with Maxfield, via phone, about his short-but-sweet "Glee Project" experience, meeting Michele, not knowing Lady Gaga and singing in front of Murphy, who Maxfield says is kind of like "an onion."
It's never easy being the first one to go, but at least you got the added bonus of meeting Lea Michele, right?
She's definitely not the hardest person to look at!
Were you shocked that Lea was the first guest mentor of the season?

With the end of season 3 of Glee two weeks ago, the summer brings another round of its companion competition series on Oxygen, The Glee Project. “This is an inspiration contest,” Glee creator and competition judge Ryan Murphy tells the hopefuls as season 2 begins.
Who are the 14 contestants vying for next season’s seven-episode Glee arc? There’s Dani, 23; Nellie, 19; Aylin, 19; Ali, 24; Lily Mae, 18; Shanna, 21; Taryn, 22; Tyler, 21; Michael, 18; Maxfield, 22; Mario, 24; Blake, 19; Charlie, 22; and Abraham, 24.
Some highlights of the Premiere episode, “Individuality”
Warning! Spoilers ahead.
The requisite “greeting” of the contestants, all of whom seem thrilled—thrilled—to reunite after auditions … at least until the competition gets fierce and the claws come out!
The producers start big, as the kids are mentored by Lea Michele (Rachel Berry)—who, according to Murphy, was the first actor cast on Glee. Makes sense.

A reality competition + Glee = a super fun summer show known as The Glee Project. That's my kind of math, y'all.
Of the 14 hopefuls who auditioned in Chicago, New York, Nashville and through an online casting process, only one (maybe) will remain standing and that contestant will win a seven-episode arc on Glee Season 4.
Season 2 of the talent search that launched more than one career in its inaugural run begins now!
The format of the show is this: Each week there will be a theme and each week the contestants will work with vocal producer Nikki Anders and choreographer Zach Woodlee to create a music video that will be directed by Erik White. Contestants who do well in the Homework challenge will get the opportunity to work with Glee cast members who will serve as guest mentors. After watching the music video, three contestants who don't perform well will be asked...

Although Oxygen began casting for Season 2 of "The Glee Project" months ago, the network hadn't officially decided whether or not to bring back the reality show for a second summer.
Now, that decision has been made: "The Glee Project" is officially returning for Season 2 during the summer of 2012, Oxygen has announced. One lucky winner (or possibly two, or maybe four, who knows) will win a seven-episode arc on Fox's hit "Glee."
This year, 14 contestants will vie for the ultimate prize. The judging panel will remain in tact, with creator Ryan Murphy, casting director Robert Ulrich, choreographer Zach Woodlee and vocal coach Nikki Anders all returning.
Season 1 winner Damian McGinty is currently filming his tenth "Glee" episode -- so things seem to be going well for him -- while his co-winner Samuel Larsen will begin his arc later in Season 3. Runners-up Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newell also won two-episode arcs on the show,...

Oxygen this morning announced that it has picked up a second season of The Glee Project for a summer premiere. The cable network began casting for Season 2 of the Glee spinoff competition series in September but at the time it stopped short of announcing an official second season renewal of the reality series because its prize is a guest role on Glee and at the time Fox had not picked up the high school dramedy for a fourth season. Five months later, Fox still has not renewed Glee but the network’s entertainment president Kevin Reilly recently spoke enthusiastically about a “cool” next season planned by the show’s creators. A Season 4 pickup for Glee is now considered a formality unless some major ratings calamity happens this spring. Glee executive producers Ryan Murphy and Dante Di Loreto are returning as executive producers of The Glee Project along with Michael Davies...

The thunder's just stopped rumbling, but a storm's still a-brewin' in a chilly parking garage just outside the Paramount Studio gates on a gusty Hollywood night. Inside, oblivious drivers exiting for the evening pass choreographer Zach Woodlee putting the warmly bundled-up Glee kids through a rigorous routine. Having only just been introduced to their complicated dance moves, the physically drained troupe will be in costume and before cameras in less than an hour shooting their big "Bad" production number — the crown jewel in a tribute episode to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, that airs on Tuesday, January 31.
As the deafening prerecorded track plays "I'm bad, I'm bad/Come on/You know it," Woodlee, a recognizable face himself as one of the judges on Oxygen's The Glee Project, shouts his marching orders: "Walk, walk. Swipe, swipe, punch. Now swing! Ladies, you have to start backing up against the wall like you're scared.
