A beloved former star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York is reportedly vying for the coveted role in the upcoming first-ever season of The Golden Bachelorette.
Fans of both shows are buzzing with speculation about the potential reality TV crossover. Could this be the moment that The Bachelor goes outside the franchise for the lead?
Rhony Reboot Renewed For Another Season
The Real Housewives of New York City debuted in 2008 as the second installment of what would be Bravo’s most popular franchise. But after 13 seasons, the entire Rhony cast was replaced with younger stars. Season 14 of the rebooted show premiered in summer 2023 to stellar ratings.
Bravo confirmed last month that the show had been renewed for Season 15 with Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield all returning.

There are more shakeups in the world of the Real Housewives. Over the last several days, Bravo has dropped some of its key stars. Now, new housewives are being added to the roster. Rebecca Minkoff, the designer best known for her statement handbags, will join the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for season 15. The news comes just one day after Crystal Kung Minkoff departed The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The connection stops there, though.

When Bravo announced that all of the Real Housewives of New York Season 14 ladies would be back for Season 15, it didn’t seem like there was an opportunity to add new cast members.
However, Deadline has reported that Rebecca Minkoff will join the next season’s cast in an undisclosed role.
That means we don’t know whether she’ll be a full-time cast member or a Housewives friend. Producers could decide after seeing what she brings to the table.
There’s also a slight chance that one or two returning cast members—Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield—could be demoted before the show begins.
Then again, we’ve had eight full-time housewives across the franchise before and could get the same again. Again, it will all come down to how the season shakes out.

Rebecca Minkoff is joining The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15, Deadline has learned.
A source close to production says the fashion designer has been filming with the cast for the new season in an unspecified role.
Bravo has yet to confirm if Minkoff will be holding an apple with the rest of the cast in a full-time capacity or if she will take on a “friend of” role when the reality series returns later this year.
Minkoff co-founded, with her brother Uri Minkoff, the Rebecca Minkoff brand, which specializes in luxury handbags, accessories, and apparel. In September 2018, she established the Female Founder Collective, a network of women-led businesses that invests in women’s financial power and empowers female-owned businesses.

Dorinda Medley was once one of the most familiar faces of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Nowadays, the show has forged a new path with an entirely new cast, but Medley believes the recipe for success is mixing up the cast.
In a new interview on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, the Rhony alum pitched a special that would find Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Ubah Hassan taking a trip to Bluestone Manor in the Berkshires.
“We should send those new girls up there for a night and see how they fare,” the 59-year-old declared.
Medley wouldn’t want to intimidate the new cast members, so she would ensure that only “a couple” of the legacy cast members were a part of the project.
Medley recently reconnected with Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, and Kristen Taekman...

Jenna Lyons was part of Season 14 of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City, but she kept a lot of stuff private, and in Season 15, she will return with the same intention. A lot of Bravo fans didn’t expect her back as she didn’t make it to Bravocon. Now it’s been confirmed that she will be part of the cast.
Rhony Jenna Lyons Returns, Bravo Fans Were Surprised
The news that the former President of J. Crew would probably return to Season 15 leaked out about two weeks ago. While some people liked the idea of her, she seemed way too non-committal for everyone to jump for joy. Remember, she’d spoken with Jimmy Fallon in November and said that she didn’t know if she’d return.

After months of rumors, it’s finally official:
The Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo for Season 15.
In a surprising turn of events, the entire cast — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield — will be back.
Lyons is the biggest surprise of those names because many believed she was done with the series.
In a November interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, she wondered whether she would return for another season.
At the time, she revealed that she enjoyed being on the show to promote her endeavors but was questioning whether she wanted her personal life showcased on reality TV.
Jenna Lyons will continue keeping parts of her life away from the cameras.
“I also am in a relationship now, and I have to take that into consideration,” she said.
“How that impacts not just me but the people around me.

After a major reboot last season, the network is sticking with the familiar for The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15. All six season 14 cast members will return to the show next season, Bravo announced on March 28.

Following a lackluster season 13, Bravo decided Rhony needed a major overhaul. Longtime cast members including Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Ramon Singer got the boot. In their place in season 14 was a fresh crop of housewives: Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield. All will return for Rhony Season 15.

The new cast of The Real Housewives of New York is sticking around, as Bravo has officially announced that all six stars — including Jenna Lyons — will return for season 15.
Bravo shared the news in a promotional video, featuring the women on a simulated group FaceTime call.
“Is it there?” asks Jessel Taank.
“Listen to me, it’s there!” responds Ubah Hassan.
“I don’t know if it’s there,” says Sai De Silva.
“Well … I heard it’s really close,” interjects Brynn Whitfield, winking to the camera.
Erin Lichy then tells her co-stars, “Guys, I’m telling you — it’s there!”
Lyons adds, “Honestly, I’m going to be the one to dispel the rumors, because season 15, it’s there.”
Nodding to her comment about Tribeca in the previous season, Taank closes the video saying the upcoming season is “really up and coming.”
The premiere date for Rhony season 15 has not been shared yet.

Following Bravo’s reboot of “The Real Housewives of New York City” last year, the network has announced that all six cast members are set to return for its upcoming Season 15. Yes, that includes even the ostensibly elusive, seemingly reluctant Jenna Lyons, who came into the show’s 14th season as the cast’s only famous person, and revealed herself over the course of the show to be a shy, charming oddball — and who, since the season premiered in July of last year, has been the subject of endless rumors speculating that she would not care to repeat the experience.
Yet Lyons is in fact coming back to “Rhony” full time — which is good, because fans have nicknamed her Jenna Fucking Lyons, and that shouldn’t go to waste — along with Brynn Whitfield, Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Jessel Taank and Ubah Hassan. Bravo and Shed Media, which produces the show,...

Rebooting a series that’s still very much on the air is no easy task, but the producers of The Real Housewives of New York managed to pull off the impossible.
How do you fire an entire cast and usher in a new era of a show that’s so beloved by fans?
The good news is that The Real Housewives of New York delivered in many key areas. There was drama, feuds, and new faces thrust into the spotlight.
As we look ahead to The Real Housewives of New York Season 15, new rumors are spilling out, and we’re pleasantly surprised.
Jenna Lyons, who seemed to disengage from the show of her own volition at several points during her freshman season, is expected to return.
In fact, Queens of Bravo reports that the cast — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield — are all likely to return.

With nine shows in rotation — including three that debuted in the last month — Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” franchise is going strong. But what does the future of the franchise, which kicked off with “Orange County” back in 2006, look like?

“So I saw the episode yesterday,” Kung Minkoff told TheWrap on Wednesday before the episode aired. “Last night I was with Rob and we were chatting. And he goes, ‘Oh, you’ve seen it already?’ I just kind of ignored him. He usually screens it with me, but I don’t really want him to watch it. Perhaps the most notable absence from last weekend’s BravoCon was “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Jenna Lyons.
All of her castmates — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield — attended the annual Bravo fan event in person, which was held in Las Vegas at the Caesars Forum from Friday to Sunday.
“I had some things to do,” Lyons told “Entertainment Tonight” at the Cfda Awards Monday night.
“I had some really important things to do like twiddle my thumbs,” the former executive creative director of J Crew explained, followed by an expression of feigned outrage.
“No, I had an event and some other things I had to do that were personal…it didn’t work out,” she added.
“Did you miss being there?” reporter Rachel Smith asked.
“No,” Lyons replied, admitting that filming was “a lot” and “different than my normal life.

Jenna Lyons was notably absent from BravoCon 2023, the three-day convention in Las Vegas that saw over 160 Bravolebrities celebrate the cable network and get close to fans.
The star of the rebooted Real Housewives of New York City is now opening up about why she skipped the event and didn’t join her co-stars in Sin City.
“I had some things to do,” the fashion maven told Et during the red carpet of the Cfda Fashion Awards.
The former president of J. Crew then joked and said, “I said some really important things to do, like twiddle my thumbs.”

BravoCon 2023 brought the drama during the gathering of reality TV’s biggest stars, held at the Caesars Forum in Las Vegas Nov. 3-5. “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval, who was booed consistently every time he answered a question at the fan event, got into a push-up battle with co-star James Kennedy. The “Scandoval” participant was part of the “Vanderpump Rules” panel at BravoCon, which kicked off its first day programming on Friday.
Tears were also shed by “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Kyle Richards and Garcelle Beauvais. Richards broke down after she was asked about her marriage to husband Mauricio Umansky, which has fallen under scrutiny since the couple separated earlier this year. Garcelle Beauvais also teared up taking about her relationship with her son Jax.
Other news included the reveal of Erika Jayne’s two-part spin-off series, highlighting her Las Vegas residency. The special, titled “Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde,...

The first reunion featuring the revamped “The Real Housewives of New York City” cast just dropped its trailer, and it’s filled with tears, clapbacks and accusations.
In what has to be a reunion fashion first, Jenna Lyons indeed wears jeans — Levi’s, specifically — while her castmates are dressed to the nines.
With the superficial stuff out of the way, the cast dives into deeper subject matter, and emotions run high.
“I had a rough summer,” Erin Lichy says as she fights back tears. Perhaps she’s responding to the online backlash she faced regarding her multiple donations to RedWin, the GOP’s fundraising political action committee right after the November 2022 election, which Joe Biden won. Or hiding the cell of castmate Ubah Hassan, who is single and checks in with her family via phone nightly.
Hassan later breaks down herself, saying, “I’m so tired, nobody has my back.”

Sai De Silva, one of the newest faces on the Real Housewives of New York, has quickly captured attention, though not always favorably. Her recent conflicts with crowd-favorite Jessel Taank have turned the spotlight on her, and rumors about her marriage have fueled the fire.
While Sai openly discusses her family and children, she’s noticeably tight-lipped about her relationship with her husband, David Craig. This conspicuous silence around her marital origins has fans and critics alike buzzing with speculation.
Fans hit Sai De Silva with a rumor about how she met her husband
In the realm of the Real Housewives of New York, more visibility doesn’t necessarily equate to popularity or success. Sometimes, it can spotlight some less-than-stellar qualities in the cast.
Take Sai, who has quickly earned a reputation as the show’s antagonist, particularly after clashing with the crowd-favorite Jessel.

Will Jenna Lyons ever open up to her Real Housewives of New York City co-stars? The group tries to crack through her tough shell in the TV Insider exclusive clip from the Sunday, September 10, episode (above). The sneak peek begins with Jenna saying she doesn’t think the women would have given “a s**t whether I was there on the plane or not,” referencing the previous episode. “That’s not true,” Erin Lichy shoots back. “See, maybe that’s the problem.” Jenna seems to doubt her place in the group when she admits, “It never would have occurred to me that you would have cared.” This confuses the group. “You exclude yourself,” Sai de Silva says, as Brynn Whitfield chimes in, “You give gifts instead of connecting.” Jenna has frequently gifted the ladies lavish presents throughout Season 14. Could her belief that the women don’t care have been informed...

Jessel Taank is growing on people. At least, that’s The Real Housewives of New York City star’s read on the social media reactions to the new cast, debuted in Season 14. Currently airing on Bravo, Rhony Season 14 features an all-new cast of apple-bearers in a soft reboot of the long-running series. Taank has been a standout of the season because of her snafus caused by her crass British humor. Jessel Taank of “The Real Housewives of New York City” is calmly waiting in the reception area of Pmc’s New York headquarters Accompanying her is her mother, Nilam, who is visiting from London, and Taank’s patience stands in contrast to how the internet has painted her. Through seven episodes of the new season, among the show’s ardent fandom, she’s the “Real Housewives” cast member audiences love to hate, and has been called both “entitled” and a “princess.”
Dressed in an oversized, immaculately crisp white button-down that doubles as a dress by Jil Sander, daringly, Taank sips a hot coffee. “You can’t see the makeup on the collar,” she says.

The midseason trailer for The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14 has dropped and it has the ladies breaking the fourth wall.
One of the most shocking scenes from the episodes ahead of the Bravo reality series has Sai De Silva and Brynn Whitfield exchanging words in a heated moment. Although the reason for the argument is not known, Whitfield is heard telling De Silva that she had said something on camera about another one of the ladies.
“It was not on f***ing camera,” De Silva shouts back surprising everyone, including Erin Lichy who is sitting right next to her.
Another tense moment is produced by Lichy and Ubah Hassan who call each other a “b***h” during the cast trip. Hassan also seemingly has a conflict with De Silva after the Ubah Hot founder is seen completely ignoring her during one of the scenes.

“Vanderpump Rules” star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss is not part of the BravoCon 2023 lineup that was revealed Friday morning. The former pageant queen and Scandoval participant has not been filming the Bravo reality show — currently in production for eleventh season — and appeared this week on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast to speak out against the network.
Among her claims, Leviss says she has not “seen a penny” after the highly-rated tenth season that focused on her secret relationship with costar Tom Sandoval, who was in a long-term relationship with Ariana Madix. The current season “The Real Housewives of New York” may feature an all-new cast, but its legacy cast is returning to the small screen later this year.
“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Rhony Legacy,” starring “New York” alums Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, Kristin Taekman and Dorinda Medley, will premiere on Peacock this December.
“Rhony Legacy” will serve as the fourth installment of “Ultimate Girls Trip.”
“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club” set in Morocco was originally slated as the fourth installment, but has been moved to 2024.
The Morocco cast reportedly includes Vicki Gunvalson, Gretchen Rossi, Brandi Glanville, Camille Grammer Meyer, Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Alex McCord and Caroline Manzo.
During the Morocco trip, which filmed before “Rhony Legacy,” an incident that reportedly included nonconsensual physical contact between Glanville and Manzo led to both women exiting the series early.

Summer is heating up a bit too much in terms of temperature around the globe, but in Hollywood the hotness got cold fast this week, as the SAG-AFTRA union joined the WGA in walking out of work. That means that movies like “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” got their huge premiere events finished just in time, and TV premieres like “Special Ops: Lioness” did the same. Happily, music, wine, food and even some film festivals continue all around and draw crowds, while Miami Swim Week brought a bevy of beautiful people to The Magic City. It seems the fun must go on, at least until the leaves begin to change and no new programming appears. Happy Summer!

The Real Housewives of New York City editors blurred and bleeped out the name of the restaurant none of the new cast would be caught dead in, but fans and Rhony historians think they know the spot.
Vulture writer and Housewives historian Brian Moylan concluded that the disgraced restaurant is Catch. “I think we’re looking at Catch, which opened in October 2011,” he wrote in his latest review. “Tacky? The Real Housewives of New York City is back, baby! Rhony purists were skeptical when executive producer Andy Cohen insisted the reboot would harken back to the golden days of Rhony and he was proved right after the season 14 premiere.
During an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Cohen said Rhony reboot questions were the top queries he’s received since announcing they planned to re-cast the series.

There’s an old adage in television that advises if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
That advice, however, is something that Andy Cohen is ignoring by completely recasting “The Real Housewives of New York”, bringing in an entirely new group of women for the hit reality show’s 14th season.
Gone are such Og “Rhony” stars as Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer. In their place, viewers will meet fashion content creator Sai De Silva, model Ubah Hassan, luxury real estate developer Erin Lichy, former executive creative director and president of J.Crew Jenna Lyons, publicist Jessel Taank and communications professional Brynn Whitfield.

When The Real Housewives of New York City (Rhony) premieres its 14th season this Sunday at 9pm Et, an entirely new cast of upper echelon characters will be further thrust into the spotlight as part of the Bravosphere.
After a tumultuous 13th season marred by allegations of racism among the cast as the longstanding franchise introduced its first Black cast member, Bravo and executive producer Andy Cohen replaced the group of legacy apple-bearing women with a new set of wealthy friends and potential foes. This season, cameras will follow the lives of fashion content creator Sai De Silva, model Ubah Hassan, luxury real estate developer Erin Lichy, former executive creative director and president of J.Crew Jenna Lyons, publicist Jessel Taank, and communications professional Brynn Whitfield.

“In New York, there’s a lot of bad apples. But I’m the baddest of the bunch,” Sai De Silva declares in the opening credits of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City” reboot, which premieres Sunday. But a chat with the content creator-turned-reality star reveals she’s softer — and more vulnerable — than her tagline may leave viewers to believe.
TheWrap caught up with De Silva ahead of the Season 14 premiere, which showcases an all-new group of women. De Silva is the first of the new housewives viewers meet as they are welcomed into her Brooklyn brownstone. Longtime fans of the show will know original cast member Alex McCord was the only housewife to previously live in the borough. (The show was initially conceived as “Manhattan Moms”). And that’s just where the changes begin.

In 2020, Jenna Lyons starred in “Stylish,” a thrillingly, almost decadently awkward reality series on the service then called HBO Max. This was putatively an “Apprentice”-style show intended to find Lyons, a recognizable face to style-watchers as the former creative director and president of the retailer J. Crew, an all-purpose consigliere. But the show leaned all the way into its star’s evident discomfort with having to make choices. Lyons, a striking but diffident presence onscreen, shrank from defining the role the series’ “winner” might play, or from revealing much at all about her vision for her own post-j. Crew future. The uncertainty the halting, abrupt Lyons left in her wake made “Stylish” a must-watch for historians of aughts fashion personalities, but seemed, too, to ensure that this would be Lyons’ first and last foray into reality television.
