Spoiler ahead. Two more dancers have left the competition after the Tuesday, Aug. 13, performance show, which featured the season 10 finalists paired up with 10 of the most beloved So You Think You Can Dance All-Stars (like sparklin’ Brandon Bryant, pictured). I’ll post my full recap of tonight’s performances later on; in the meantime, discuss!

The So You Think You Can Dance All-Stars returned to dance with the Top 10 contestants Wednesday night — and look who we have here! Season 7 standout Alex Freaking Wong, who exited early because of an Achilles tendon injury and had to sit out last summer, after being invited back as an All-Star, because he’d hurt the Other Achilles tendon. I would guess that Alex Wong’s abs positively loathe his Achilles tendons for denying them their rightful opportunity to glisten on national television whenever possible.

Producer Nigel Lythgoe tweeted today about the "shocking but Great" changes to season 7 of 'So You Think You Can Dance.' First major shake-up: Partners will change every week.
That's bad news for viewers who fell in love with pairings such as last season's Jakob Karr and Ashleigh Di Lello, but good news for younger dancers like Mollee Gray and Nathan Trasoras, who both matured considerably when split up and partnered with more experienced partners.

When you think of the ideal reality show contestant, many qualities come to mind, from possessing a unique point of view to having an aggressive spirit of competition. But one word you don't think of is shy.
For better or for worse, So You Think You Can Dance phenom Jakob Karr is exactly that. Shy. His voice is soft and sweet. He comes across like someone so determined not to say anything that they would regret later that they don't say anything memorable at all. ...

Though he barely received any airtime prior to landing a spot in the top 20 of So You Think You Can Dance, Jakob Karr climbed his way into our hearts—and into the top two. Here, the most technically advanced dancer of the season talks to EW about partner Ashleigh, staying uninjured and being this close to the win. You got so close, Jakob. So close. But you know what? I’m so happy for Russell, and I’m really feeling great. Did you think you would win, or did you think Russell had it in the bag? As it started...

A newly injured Russell Ferguson won $250,000 and the title of America's favorite dancer on the finale of So You Think You Can Dance 6 last night. He beat runner-up Jakob Karr. Kathryn McCormick came in third, Ellenore Scott fourth, Ashleigh Di Lello fifth, and Ryan Di Lello sixth. The show almost fell apart about 45 minutes in, when Cat Deely tried to bring out the top six. Her mic wasn't on, and the finalists...

This afternoon I had the pleasure of talking with Jakob Karr, runner-up of season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance. From the moment he auditioned, Jakob wowed the judges and America with his flawless technique and soaring leaps. Adam Shankman went so far as to say that Jakob was one of the most brilliant dancers he'd ever seen.
Though Jakob wasn't named America's Favorite Dancer last night, he remains one of America's best. Jakob was an incredibly gracious interview and a real sweetheart about me being a geeky fan. We chatted about Russell's win, what he wished he could have said to America last night, advice from his Bff Jeanine Mason, the ladies he was lucky enough to dance with this season, and what's next for him.

Russell Ferguson has been crowned the winner of the sixth season of So You Think You Can Dance. The 20-year-old hip-hop/krump dancer from Boston was named America's Favorite Dancer on last night's live finale. He scooped a prize of $$250,000 and a cover feature with the March edition of Dance Spirit Magazine. "I just want to thank everybody - this means everything to me," he said. "I've dreamed of this since I was born. I want to thank the judges for their criticism, you guys make me better as a person and as a dancer." Jakob Karr, a 19-year-old contemporary dancer from Windermere, Fl, finished (more)...

A new winner of "So You Think You Can Dance" has been crowned on Wednesday, December 16, and it was krumper Russell Ferguson who came out as America's favorite dancer. Having little training and no experience in the type of dances required for the competition, the 20-year-old has been the favorite among the judges and audience alike throughout season six.
During the result show finale, however, the krumper wasn't able to perform on stage. Within the first 45 minutes, he was seen limping onto the stage with the help of fellow competitor Ryan Di Lillo for the first cut. It was revealed that he broke his ankle after a routine. To host Cat Deeley, he shared, "I messed my leg up".
It was then announced that Di Lillo finished in sixth place, followed by wife Ashleigh Di Lello in fifth, Ellenore Scott in fourth, Kathryn McCormick in third and Jakob Karr in second.

The top six performed on So You Think You Can Dance's final performance episode last night, and danced with each other, although only in opposite-sex couples, unlike previous seasons. One of the finalists--Ashleigh Di Lello, Ryan Di Lello Russell Ferguson, Jakob Karr, Kathryn McCormick, and Ellenore Scott--will win $250,000 for being America's favorite dancer. Although husband and wife Ashleigh and Ryan got to dance together for the first time and were praised by the judges,...

In a season of firsts for So You Think You Can Dance (first fall season, first krumping finalist, first married couple finalists), it's hardly surprising — and perhaps fitting — the Fox hit heads into Tuesday's Season 6 finale with its first-ever final six contestants, two more than the usual four.
"I think it's really exciting," Jakob Karr tells TVGuide.com. "First of all, there are more dances in the finale, so there's more to watch. It's going to be a really good show. I'm ready."
And so are his competitors. See what all six finalists have to say about their soon-to-be last dances, their strengths and weaknesses, the whole season and more.

The contestants of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 have been narrowed down to 6 on Wednesday, December 9. Two were sent home, while Ashleigh Di Lello was absent from performing after popping her shoulder out of her socket.
Jonathan "Legacy" Perez and Ryan Dilello were in the bottom two in men's part. And when it came to women's turn, Mollee Gray and Ellenore Scott were revealed as the two to be in the unsafe zone. The safe participants beside Ashley thus were Jakob Karr, Russell Ferguson, and Kathryn McCormick.
While the folks in the bottom four were preparing for their solos, the so-called "Asia's No. 1 Pop Group," the Wonder Girls took the stage and performed their hit single "I Want Nobody But You", which reportedly is the English version of "Nobody". And prior to the final results, audience were treated to a performance from "American Idol" 8th season champion Kris Allen...

Something has changed on So You Think You Can Dance. And I'm not just talking about the sad departure of Mia Michaels, or that strange sulphuric smell ever since an over-hyped Katie Holmes stunk up the place with her pre-taped Judy Garland song and dance "tribute." (Yeah, we're all still scratching our heads over that one.)
No, the change I'm referring to is a good one: The show isn't so darn homophobic these days.
This season's Top 10 dancers: Pictured back row L-r: Russell Ferguson, Mollee Gray, Nathan Trasoras, Ryan Di Lello, Jakob Karr, Ashleigh Di Lello and Legacy Perez. Bottom row L-r: Kathryn McCormick, Noelle Marsh and Ellenore Scott.
In previous seasons, Sytycd had a readily apparent mean streak when it came to the gays. Male dancers who were on the... uh... lesser side of butch were routinely criticized for not having enough "chemistry" with their female partners.

It's Top 10 times folks! It's time for new partnerships, solos from all of the dancers, and if Nigel is to be trusted, one of this season's most exceptional routines courtesy of Jakob Karr. And I, for one, am downright giddy about the possible awesomeness that awaits us tonight.
As always, you can watch along with me live right here and in 140 character quips over on BuddyTV's So You Think You Can Dance Twitter. But remember, tonight's show starts half an hour later due to a Presidential Address. Sit tight, So You Think You Can Dance will be on soon!

Recognition, a spot on tour and a paycheck are all a part of what it means to be in the So You Think You Can Dance top 10. Last week, Karen Hauer, an American Rhythm dancer from Fort Lee, N.J., and Victor Smalley, a contemporary wonder from Miami, barely missed the mark as the judges had their final say in who stays and who goes. This week, season 6's top 10 will get new partners, and the fans will handle the cuts from here on out until a new winner is crowned America's Favorite Dancer. --Jed Dreben Here's a rundown the...

This morning So You Think You Can Dance executive Nigel Lythgoe took a moment to sit and chat with reporters about season 6 and the upcoming Carrie Underwood All-Star Holiday Special. We'll share his thoughts on Carrie Underwood later, but wanted to share what the head judge had to say about So You Think You Can Dance and tonight's Top 10 performance show.
Nigel says we all have a real treat coming our way tonight in the form of a Jakob Karr performance choreographed by Sonya Tayeh, as well as confirmation that Jakob's new partner is Ellenore Scott. Nigel also chatted amiably about the Di Lello's (in spite of forgetting Ashleigh's name), missing Billy Bell, and the impressive growth of some of season 6's dancers.

The Top 12 of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 have been wilted down to mere 10. Married ballroom dancer couple Ashleigh Di Lello and Ryan Di Lello are through to the next round but Karen Hauer and Victor Smalley have to stop their journey on the show.
During the deliberation, Karen and Victor were joined in the bottom three by Mollee and Nathan; and Ellenore and Ryan. All six of them had to dance for their lives if they wanted to stay in the competition. Karen was criticized for looking like she has surrendered and thus was the first to be eliminated. On the other hand, Victor delivered an energetic piece but it was not enough to convince the judges to keep him.
The Top 10 apart from the Di Lellos are thus Russell Ferguson, Mollee Gray, Jakob Karr, Noelle Marsh, Kathryn McCormick, Jonathan "Legacy" Perez, Ellenore Scott and Nathan Trasoras.
