Claim to Fame just crowned another successful winner.
Gabriel Cannon walked away with $100,000, the title of the second Claim to Fame winner of the series, and as part of the most buzzed-about season yet.
The charismatic player was fun to watch all season and was such a deceptively good player that one of the most satisfying moments of the finale was knowing that first-boot Carly had to eat her words about the man she assumed was "too dumb" to figure anything out actually outplayed them all well.
Of course, the road to this point was unpredictable, and the two-hour finale made it unclear who would walk away with the win.
The finale delivered some twists, turns, and potentially damaging flaws in this game setup that must be rectified.

Janelle Monae has called out a fan for their comment on her Grammys appearance.
The singer and actor, who recently appeared in Glass Onion, attended the 2023 Grammys ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday (5 February).
Following the event, one of Monae’s fans commented on her outfit – and poked fun at the singer’s previous wardrobe choices in the process.
“Janelle Monae finally showing off how fine she is instead of dressing like the monopoly man,” they wrote.
Monae, noticing how many likes the tweet was receiving, replied: “No new music just for this.”
As the tweets continued to rack up the likes, Monae told her 1.2m followers: “35.7k likes?? No new tour. hope it was worth it beloved.”
At the time of writing, the original tweet has been liked 55.7k times.
Monae’s fans jumped to her defence in the reply section, and begged her not to “punish” them for someone else’s comment.

Janelle Monae has been a fixture at awards shows in recent years, with meaty roles in award-winning movies “Moonlight,” “Hidden Figures” and “Glass Onion.” She’s just one in a long list of multi-talented divas who got their starts in music, but also proved themselves worthy in the acting community.

Some have been so successful with their crossovers to film, that it’s easy to forget they were singers first. Barbara Streisand, Doris Day and Julie Andrews are so well-known for their movies that it’s almost hard to remember they were first famous as singers. Others have made just a few unforgettable film appearances, ultimately turning back to their singing careers, but making a huge mark on cinema history. Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Dolly Parton each captured our hearts with characters it’s hard to imagine anyone else – even an A-list actress – portraying.

Among the highlights of the socially distanced 2021 Golden Globe Awards ceremony was Jodie Foster’s upset Best Film Supporting Actress win for “The Mauritanian” and subsequent virtual acceptance speech. With her wife and dog seated next to her, the pajama-clad star casually created a moment of positive LGBTQ representation, which increased the impact of her being the first openly LGBTQ individual to ever win a film acting Golden Globe. Queer-identifying Ariana DeBose won the same award for “West Side Story” last year, and now this streak could be continued by nonbinary performer Janelle Monae (“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”).

Half a dozen years after making her dual film debut in “Hidden Figures” and “Moonlight,” Janelle Monae continues to fine tune her acting skills with each new project. The Grammy-nominated recording artist now plays a pivotal role in Netflix’s “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” which she describes as one that “goes deep” and allowed her “to evolve as a person.” Watch Monae and other members of the “Glass Onion” cast and crew discuss how she “reaches career heights” in the exclusive video feature above.
“Glass Onion,” the second film in writer-director Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” series, places savvy Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) in a new location where he is faced with solving yet another murder. Craig shares many of his scenes with Monae, particularly in the second half of the movie.

As the temperatures continue to dip, and some parts of the country are neck-deep in snow, a great way to spend the day is to curl up next to the fireplace, or space heater, with a mystery. Perhaps it’s one featuring a familiar investigating sleuth. Well, if you can make it out to the multiplex, then there’s a cinematic equivalent around for just a week, Oh, and the sleuth’s only been around since 2019. That’s when a filmmaker who just survived an entry in the biggest movie franchise ever, decided to create his own modern version of those Agatha Christie “all-star whodunits” (mind you that Kenneth Branagh had just donned the “stashe” for a new series). Well, it was a hit, so he and his hero star have returned with Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Let’s find the clues and keep track of the suspects…...

“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” is less a role and more a way of life for Kate Hudson.
Et Canada catches up with the cast of the “Knives Out” sequel to sniff out the cast’s most promising super sleuth. Co-stars Janelle Monae, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Madelyn Cline and Jessica Henwick, as well as director Rian Johnson, unanimously agreed that Hudson was a touch too passionate about solving mysteries.
The “Glass Onion” cast played mystery games like Mafia — a social game that requires villagers to work together and discover the identity of the mafia members killing them off — and Clue, an iconic murder mystery board game. Hudson took the game to another level.
“Kate’s pretty serious about it,” Norton says.
“She’s intuitive. She’s looking at all the details,” Monae adds. “She’s intuitive. She’s looking at all the details.”
“Aggressive,” Norton chimes in.

“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” composer Nathan Johnson says the key to the film’s score lies in its main theme. “There are different character themes that appear for little moments, and as a piece of music, this embodies what the whole theme is about,” he said.
The highly-anticipated sequel releases theatrically on Nov. 23 and sees Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc back to solve another whodunnit mystery. His band of suspects includes Janelle Monae, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn and Leslie Odom Jr.
Johnson’s filmmaker cousin, director Rian Johnson, called on him to score his sequel that takes place during a weekend getaway on billionaire Miles Bron’s (Edward Norton’s) island.
With an ensemble cast of that size, not only was Johnson able to lean into each character, but he was able to write different motifs for each one. He says, “That ends up being...

New York’s fashion industry congregated at current hotspot Cipriani South Street on Nov. 7 to honor the best of American design at the annual Cfda Awards, the first time the ceremony has returned to its full format since prior to the Covid-19 pandemic — the 2021 event was a truncated, less formal affair that took place at the iconic The Grill and The Pool restaurants in Midtown Manhattan.
Catherine Holstein of Khaite and Emily Adams Bode, founder of eponymous brand, Bode, were among the night’s big winners as American Womenswear and Menswear Designers of the Year, respectively. Raul Lopez of Luar, known for its coveted handbags with oversized handles, captured American Accessory Designer of the Year, while Wisconsin-born Elena Velez, who blends a Midwestern aesthetic with gritty details to create looks that feel wholly modern, took home the prize for American Emerging Designer of the Year.
