MTV is kicking off the 4/20 festivities a little early this year, debuting its latest original movie Pretty Stoned on Wednesday, April 19 (8/7c), TVLine has learned exclusively.
The Atlanta-set comedy “follows two dueling co-workers: one a total stoner with no commitment to her job and the other a type-a high-achiever focused on her career,” per the movie’s official logline. “The two women must join forces when they find themselves sky-high in a boatload of trouble after one of them disposes of $20,000 worth of pot from a drug queenpin and her henchwomen.”

Bigger is not moving forward at BET+ as the streaming service has opted not to renew the comedy series after two seasons. The series hails from executive producer Will Packer and his Will Packer Media.
Creator, executive producer and showrunner Felischa Marye confirmed the news on Twitter on Monday.
“We’re sad to announce that #BiggerOnBet will not get a third season. We know, we know,” she wrote. “We can’t believe it either, but want to say thanks to our #BiggerSeries Hive for being such loyal and passionate fans.”

On Wednesday’s installment on BET, he ended his call the minute Andi walked into the room. She asked her fiancé who he was talking to, but Gary refused to answer. Making matters worse, he accused her of being jealous. Thankfully, Andi is a lawyer, and she used her professional skill set to slice through Gary’s subterfuge. For starters, Andi said that when Gary was married to Jasmine, he used to wake up early to meet her at the gym behind Jasmine’s back.

Bet Plus, a joint venture between Viacom’s Bet Networks and Tyler Perry Studios, will launch domestically on Thursday, Sept. 19. The ad-free subscription video-on-demand service, priced at $9.99 a month, will kick off with more than 1,000 hours of shows, movies and stand-up specials, including content from Tyler Perry, Tracy Oliver, Will Packer and other African American content creators.
“We are thrilled to offer a streaming experience of content curated for the underserved African American audience with Bet [Plus],” said Bet Networks president Scott Mills. “African Americans have a higher Svod adoption rate than any other consumer base on the market, which is why Bet [Plus] is a natural complement of Bet’s linear network, which has been and continues to be the leading home of black culture for decades.”
