Katie Stevens, Rita Volk, and Carter Covington need a minute. Before they can get to the task at hand, the two stars of MTV’s Faking It and their executive producer need time to catch up. The love is real, even a decade later. The trio hopped on a call with TV Insider to reminisce about their trailblazing series in honor of its 10th anniversary. Even they can’t believe it has been a decade. Premiering on April 22, 2014, Faking It tells the story of Amy (Volk) and Karma (Stevens), two best friends who get mistaken for a lesbian couple in their progressive Texas high school and decide to go with it when they realize it might be...

"Do you feel that...?" "I do." "So what do you think that is?" MGM Studios has revealed an official trailer for the indie ensemble drama Summer Days, Summer Nights, the latest film made by actor / filmmaker Edward Burns. This originally premiered way back in 2018 but is only now finally getting a release direct-to-vod this year. Best way to get over a broken heart? Fall in love again... It's the summer of 1982 on Long Island. JJ is working for his dad, when he falls for Debbie. Frankie reconnects with a long lost love. But as temperatures cool, so do their relationships, leaving the young men to accept summer is ending. Edward Burns is joined by a breakout cast including Anthony Ramos, Pico Alexander, Zoe Levin, Lindsey Morgan, Jon Rudnitsky, Amadeus Serafini, Caitlin Stasey, and Rita Volk. This looks like a charming throwback look at love in the 80s and summer romance.

During an Atx reunion panel celebrating his trailblazing MTV series Faking It, showrunner and executive producer Carter Covington expressed the opinion that the show would be much trickier to get off the ground today than it was just seven or so years ago.
“I do think [today] our original premise probably would have been blasted out before the show even aired,” he said. “It was a challenging premise. We all knew it would get attention.”
In his appearance on the panel alongside Covington, actor Michael J. Willett agreed that the initial conceit was tricky. “I think the idea had the potential to be very insensitive,” said the actor, who played Shane. At the same time, he said that the show is that much more commendable because of the risks it took, and the way in which tricky subject matter was approached. “I think that it was very masterful of Carter and...

Harold (Bruce Davison), his wife Betty (Arianne Zucker) and their daughters Maggie and Sarah (Holly Taylor and Rita Volk) live in an isolated farmhouse, many miles from their nearest neighbours. Harold rules over the family, enforcing a rigidly patriarchal interpretation of the bible. When three young men turn up at their door after getting a puncture, Maggie senses an opportunity to get away from her controlling and increasingly dangerous father.

The last five years or so of horror movies have shown a rise in films that are bleak and sometimes difficult to watch. Perhaps Ari Aster, with Hereditary and Midsommar, has popularised this style but big hits such as The Quiet Place, alongside classics like The Nightingale have shown that there are many great films to come from this. We Still Say Grace tries its best to sit alongside the best of them.
That dark and ominous tone is here right from the first scene as we see an apparent suicide pact with a father and his daughters. It doesn’t go quite as expected though and when a group of three guys get stranded nearby when their car’s tyres get punctures, one of the daughters seems eager to escape.

An isolated family of women, ruled over by wrathful father Bruce Davison, encounter temptation in a wildly unconvincing tale
Nothing else in this schlocky horror-thriller comes anywhere close to matching its cheerfully grotesque opening. Harold, a white-bearded Bible-quoting hellfire fanatic (played by Bruce Davison), is presiding over a last supper; his wife and teenage daughters look terrified. After they’ve finished, he tells them that the wine was poisoned – they should prepare to meet their maker. Except it turns out not to be true. The whole thing is a sick test of the women’s submissiveness to him, their lord and master (though there is nothing godly about the way he squeezes his daughter’s knee). It is the last genuine moment of actual tension in this silly, derivative and wildly unconvincing film.
Harold and his family live cut off from the modern world on a farm 30 miles from their closest neighbour.

Ahead of his new album - Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 - John Carpenter has brought Christine back in a music video...
John Carpenter made movies so he could record the soundtracks. He’s made some great movies of course, classics like Halloween, They Live and The Fog, which he scored beautifully, and the films Carpenter directed made him a household name. He is a rock star film director.
But he doesn’t care about any of that. He never did. He always wanted to be a rock star rock star. The movies, they were fun. They kept a lot of people up at night. But really, if you asked Carpenter, he’d have preferred they stayed up dancing to his songs. And let’s face it, some of his melodies, like the theme from Halloween, get caught in your head, harder to escape than Escape From New York.

John Carpenter is giving horror fans the ultimate Halloween treat with the release of “Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998” this October. The compilation album brings together 13 of Carpenter’s most iconic movie themes, from “Halloween” to “They Live,” “The Thing,” “Starman,” and “Escape From New York.” In what could be the first of many music videos released in the lead up to the album’s debut, Carpenter has dropped the official video for the theme from “Christine,” and it’s essentially a remake of the movie in four minutes and thirty-three seconds.

The Faking It TV show on MTV has been cancelled after three seasons. The third season finale, on Tuesday May 17, 2016, will also serve as the Faking It TV series finale. Executive producer Carter Covington has tweeted about the rom-com's cancellation and has spoken to The Hollywood Reporter (THR).
Faking It stars Rita Volk and Katie Stevens as teens who are mistaken as a lesbian couple. When the buzz around their "relationship" makes them popular, the duo decided to fake it. In the THR interview, Covington cited lack-luster ratings as the reason MTV decided to cancel Faking It. The Carter Covington comedy's May 17 season three finale will now serve as a series finale. To hear Covington tell it, the show's lackluster ratings are to blame for the cancellation. Starring Rita Volk and Katie Stevens as two teenagers who become popular after they're mistaken for a lesbian couple, the comedy's most recent episode collected only 530,000 total viewers with three days of delayed viewing. The impressive thing about the first two episodes of the last half of the sophomore season of Faking It (which is obviously not the way MTV has broken up and scheduled the show) is that it has slowly begun to surpass its sister series as the incisive parody of high school minutiae that Awkward was in its hay day.
Picking up two weeks after last year’s finale, the season 2B premiere dumps its coterie of amusing characters into a new, scary version of Hester High. The show’s crushingly liberal nexus of plots and characters is undergoing a bit of a face lift, thanks to a few cascading...
