Poll: Which Kind of Video Games Do You Prefer?

Since the 1970s video games entered the entertainment sector in a new ground-breaking way. Even Hollywood recognized the power of computer games for the future. In 1982 Tron (1982) was released, a picture that dealt with the imagination of the inner space of computers - the digital revolution started. Many gamers are bound to their passion. Since then many other game-based movies came out, one of them was Ready Player One (2018), directed by Steven Spielberg. Within the last 50 years, there have been multiple changes in the gameplay, the graphics, the sound and the complexity of the games.

    For me the essential classics are the only basic truth in playing video games, which means very basic games like Pong (1972), Pac-Man (1980) or Snake, eventually Tetris (1984), which was re-made in the same, but monochrome style about five years later for the Nintendo Game Boy System.

    I like early thinking games which were a little more intelligent like the legendary Boulder Dash (1984), Mahjong (1981) or Loco-Motion (1982) - there was an Amiga 500 remake which was completely underestimated at its release time in 1992: Locomotion playthrough guide (yt).
