My mother watched this show, and she said it was abysmally bad. Like Crossroads in England, this show was so-bad-it's-good. The show had a very vocal fan following, albeit small, and that's why it stayed on the air as long as it did. The show was critically derided, and almost always at the bottom of the ratings. But still, it chugged on, for almost 30 years, because of its fans. Needless to say, my mother was not a fan.
