*SPOILER* I was 6 when I watched this and I dare say it was the most impressive movie of my childhood. I was attracted from the first moment to the last. I loved the scenes and the story. As a child you never judge by the techniques or the technology. You just know that you like it or not. It is the impression that counts. and I tell you I loved it as a kid and so did ALL my friends then. I don't remember some scenes now but I definitely remember the winds and unico's friend (who became a unico) and the girl. I loved the scene when he became a unicorn by attracting his friend's love and pity to save the enchanted girl. I strongly recommend it for any kid around you.
