Warning: Spoilers
I challenge anyone who has actually read gallows hill by Lois Duncan to honestly say that this was a good adaptation of the book.

Not only was the plot line COMPLETELY changed, but the characters did not quite fit in. For example Kyra (soliel moon frye in the movie, who by the way, i absolutely love, and feel bad she is in this crap) was supposed to be a bitchy, yet not without reason to be, red headed, unattractive, yet popular girl, in "I've been waiting for you" she was very attractive, bitchy and completely superficial, brunette popular girl!

***spoiler alert*****

If you read the book, you will be sadly disappointed that this is not a serial killer book, such as the movie was, and the only death in the book happens out of the time setting of the story. The movie's climax is the revelation of who has been killing everyone.***book spoiler alert**** the book ends with you realizing that all the teenage characters in the book are reincarnated witches from salem.

Hmmmm.... doesn't quite seem to be the same thing.

For shame Lois Duncan. Your writting is so wonderful that even adults like me can appreciate your novels, and yet you let them get turned into crap like this and I know what you did last summer (another movie that doesn't follow the book). In fact the only one of her books turned movies that was okay at all was Summer of Fear (turned into the movie Summer of Fear aka Stranger in our house starring Linda Blair) and that was just barely okay, but at least they stuck to the story.

As a movie, however, this was okay, interesting characters, well acted, and shot on pretty believeable sets. Too bad they have to pretend this is Gallows Hill
