Worth the gamble of renting!
22 October 2001
Opening scenes has all the hallmarks of typical schmaltzy plot of oppressed domineered daughter finding herself. Even though you know the outcome and can predict the plot within 10 minutes, the real genius of this film is not the plot but the context in which it is acted out. The comedy is flawless, not obvious and consistent. Could watch this twice and still find hidden humour.

Amazing to find that after years as a card board cut out in Hidehi series that Ruth Madoc can actually act, and even has a sex scene to perform in!!!!
