After hearing all the buzz swelling around this film, I was quite shocked when I actually watched it. The film is modest and simple, two elements that I like and two things that are rare in films today. However, the relationship between Linney and Ruffalo is not anything exceptional. I rarely felt compelled to follow their endless conversations and their drama was not clearly drawn. Good performances from the two leads though, plus a great job by Rory Culkin. (C-)
