A Cross, a Wooden Stake and Some Geritol
16 December 2001
A group of young vampire hunters ages as the vampire they wanted got away after biting the girlfriend of one of the members. They spend their considerable lives trying to find this bloodsucker. This is, if nothing else, a cute little story and a way to put some of the legends of the genre together. There are Bob Burns, Forrest J. Ackerman, John Agar, Conrad Brooks, Mary Woronov, and several other celebrities of minor note. The story is pretty silly stuff, and the direction is amateurish at best. But what the heck! It's only a half hour long and never tries to be anything other than a parody of horror legends and myths. At that level it is interesting as it contains lots of in-business humour and genre jokes. Conrad Brooks hawking videos about Ed Wood at the door of the vampire bar is a real hoot!
