What has happened to storytelling since the 80s?
Sure, the 80s version was aimed at kids but at least it was aimed at intelligent kids and told a story (every so often) which would encourage imagination.
Now we have a washed out, predictable, formulaic version.
Even the art hasn't improved any significant amount.
If you can't get the old version, stick with Pikachu. There's nothing here that's new and can't be found in any other popular kids cartoon.
