Review of Chicago

Chicago (2002)
Deserved every award
2 September 2003
Why are people being so hard on this wonderful piece of escapism? Unlike so many Oscar winners that are just hype hype hype, this deserved every award it got. Along with the wonderful 'Moulin Rouge' this film proves that musicals really are cool again. Renne Zellweiger, Catherine Zeta Jones and Richard Gere excel in their roles, give us a couple of hours of pure toe tapping joy. 10.10
