Starts good. It is great to see the characters excited about history. But then it seems to shift and say history is a bad place to visit. but not completely. A telling line was when the excited historian girl said of their journey " I am more worried about being stuck living in the past then dying there." This to me was such a cynical change in her.
This movie lost its sense of adventure. the early execution was not needed. The English are portrayed as Nazis. This is probably driven by the anti tony Blair left. The movie seem to bother both cynics on the left and optimists on right. Marek is good in the film and the acting is ok, even paul walker. The catapults were interesting. Barely recommend.
