Really a lovely little film which could so easily have run off the rails, as so many lesbian and gay-themed films do.
A same-sex Cinderella story which stays ahead of its audience at every juncture.
The two female leads are delightful, as is Jane Lynch as the over-the-top-yet-believable step mother.
This sure-handed director, with the right material, could go on to make excellent comedies.
I really recommend it.
