Well...I went in not expecting much and that's just what I got. The movie was kind of silly, and although I knew going in it wouldn't have a great story or possibly questionable acting, I didn't think it would be so funny. I don't mean that in a positive way either. The movie was pretty pathetic. I own over 400 Asian DVD's....100's of VHS tapes...and while Kung Fu and Samurai type films are not what I strive for, I do have decent knowledge and experience in the genre. That being said, the only film that's worse (in my opinion) than this is Ong Bak. The is close to the bottom of my pile. Luckily I only spent $5 on this thing, so it won't be long before it leaves me memory for good.
I can see why it appeals to teens as the Kill Bill buzz is still around, and people just want kicking and punching and violence. This film has a stupid enough story to fit the Hollywood mold (basically shallow plot with some "wow" factor), so maybe someone in the US might want to think about putting it out there.
