French and Saunders
27 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
The two comedians have been friends for a very long time. This is the programme that proves that friendship, and their talent. Twice BAFTA nominated Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders write and star in this really good comedy sketch show where they play themselves (as part of the jokes), Hollywood stars, singers, blokes and some other good things. Dawn French is the big one with the talent of being like a clown, and Jennifer Saunders is the thin one who has a face that can become nearly anyone (famous). Some of the best examples of their talent are "The Egg" episode where they do a spoof of The Lord of the Rings. The other better example of good comedy they do together was for Comic Relief where they spoofed Harry Potter. These two have even won themselves an award for their talent. It won the BAFTA for Best Make Up/Hair (out for four nominations, and it was nominated for Best Light Entertainment (Programme or Series) (three times) and Best VTR Editor. Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders were number 31 on The Comedians' Comedian, and Saunder was number 19, and French number 4 on Britain's Favourite Comedian, the Christmas Specials were number 19 on The 100 Greatest Christmas Moments, and The Silence of the Lambs sketch was number 13 on The 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches. Very good!
