This was a made-for-TV movie about Charlie Wedemeyer, a football coach who discovered at the age of 32 that he had ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). The movie did a good job of portraying the progression of the disease and also how it affects the family and friends. Michael Nouri starred as Charlie Wedemeyer, and Pam Dawber played his wife. I think that Stephen Dorff played their son. ALS is a neuromuscular disease where eventually the brain loses the ability to control muscle movement. As the disease progressed, Charlie lost the ability to walk and breathe on his own. It was a good movie but a sad one. It is definitely worth seeing.
