I have had the pleasure to see this film many years ago on the cinema. It is not only witty, but inspiring - also inspired the biggest bank robbery in the world, the one of the Societe Generale, in Marseille. Some people may say it set a bad example, but it is a rather enjoyable experience. Anyway, the direction, the acting and the music are in tune with the glamour of the sixties.The story is about intelligence, planning and betrayal, as well as greed (of course, is a robbery), but has avoided the violence that have dominated the screens in the next decades. The mastermind was brilliant, although his co-workers have some issues about competence.
