Overall great performance!!

Not only did this film have me at the end of my seat it also had me leaving the cinema with that gutted feeling in my stomach, we all know what paedophilia is and most of us know we don't want to even imagine it, we see paedophilia as a taboo subject, but after this film i feel like i have a lot more awareness of the fact. I would give an Oscar award to the acting of Kevin Bacon his performance as paedophile, Walter was excellent, He really let us in to the mind of a true paedophile. After 12 years in prison Walter returns to his home town, afraid he will not be accepted and coincidently lives opposite to a primary school. Trying to get on with his life Walter still feels he can't let go of his past. In his new journey he meets a lot of people who reflect on his true personality, he meets a woman who brings out the good in him, and a police officer who makes him understand himself. Walter often feel urges but struggles through it to a happy ending, but not as happy as he expected, but what does he expect he's been imprisoned for paedophilia, his sister refuses to see him and he can't talk to young children without feeling his urges. Although there were parts of the movie i didn't find interesting and some parts i found quite revolting the touching, groping and sex scenes did not excite me and i think they were quite unnecessary but overall i think the movie was enjoyable but not for everybody, i think this movie may shock some people and also be a flop at cinema's, depending on your own taste.
