The Omen (2006)
7/10
Damien better become friends with Linda Blair and Gilligan...*MAY CONTAIN SPOILER*

Warning: Spoilers
I just got out of the movie theater and my first impression was...I hate that little kid! The movie was okay in that it provided the suspense needed to carry you through the film dying (no pun intended) to find out what is happening next. There are some dragging moments where you snap back to reality and get antsy but towards the end you get so caught up in the drama I was practically screaming "KILL EM!" Now I am a big Julia Stiles fan, and I though I was not overly fascinated with her performance, the one scene with her and the nanny in the hospital I wanted to jump into the screen and save her. I really felt for her character and I think that's what made it work for me. I felt for the characters I had to, and hated the ones that deserved it. Now I've never seen the original, but I enjoyed this movie enough to write a review about it and that is saying something. Overall, I give it a 7 out of 10, just because I didn't like the ending though I knew going in that's how it was gonna end up...hell, I'm an optimist, give me popcorn and a happy ending and I'm pleased.

p.s. That kid better hope no casting agent sees this because I just look at him now and I get angry...yes I know it was a character but that's gonna be a hard character to break. Good luck kid!
