I discovered this little gem a few months ago and since then I've watched it like 5 times. There is something about this movie that brings the old romantic in everyone.
Iam also astounded at how beautiful this film looked despite its low budget. The filmatography of the island is gorgeous to say the least and catches all the moods of the island from brigth sunny to dark stormy weather.
I won't go into much details but the last scene where the main antagonist leaves on the boat and the girl chases him to the pier is one of the most powerful romantic scenes ever! There is a gorgeous violin/piano score that brings tears to my eyes.
