Every once in a while, I catch something like this on the Independent Film Channel that restores my faith in movies. This was a good one. The casting and acting were superb. Set in the 70s, Dennis Hopper conveys the mixed emotions of the situation he finds himself in very well. A middle aged, simple man who is in a withered relationship with a widowed childhood sweetheart but finds himself in an exciting and rejuvenating relationship with a student vixen, played perfectly by Amy Locane. Whew! Is she hot! The movie keeps you guessing at times, so it's not completely predictable, the relationship with Locane changes his life.
