Review of Robin Hood

Robin Hood (2006–2009)
3/10
Sheer over-hyped rubbish
8 October 2006
So Chris Moyles was hyping this programme incredibly on his Radio 1 show. I should have known better than to listen to an employee of the BBC who probably hadn't seen the show already. From the start we're treated to cheesy action, ridiculous camera-work and inappropriate editing. Robin Hood comes back from The Turk and yet looks all nice and clean with a perfectly trimmed beard and haircut. Keith Allen is a small saving grace in the show that is otherwise turgidly acted. Some parts were good, but on the whole it was just a bit too silly for me. It's not really much of a replacement for Doctor Who. No amount of quick camera zooms or swishy sound effects or slo-mo can make up for the dullness of the programme.

IMO of course.
