I really love films about the space program (one of my all-time favorite films is "The Dish" - I could happily watch that one every night!) I was really looking forward to seeing In the Shadow of the Moon, especially after reading so many great reviews.
What a disappointment! This is a very pedestrian effort, really suffers from the absence of Neil Armstrong, important text was almost unreadable, and the music was intolerably loud and distracting. Do yourself a favor and watch "The Dish" instead. It gets the tone just right, and adds delightful Australian quirkiness too. If you've already seen it, watch it again!
