Don't Waste Your Time or Money

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously. There were SO many gaps in logic, it was insane! For example...

1) When the thieves take over the mall, they don't actually LOCK the doors to keep folks in or out. Blart is able to leave at one point (but doesn't), after which they decide to lock the doors. But folks are still able to go back and forth.

2) When one of the bad guys has Blart on the ropes and is about to whack him, he discovers Blart's personal connection to one of the hostages. So, what does he do? Cap Blart and then go back to the hostages? Report in with this information? Nope. He runs away, saying "I know what hostage I'm gonna kill first", allowing Blart to take him from behind.

3) One of the bad guys actually DISAPPEARS! There's one point when 2 of them are after Blart. Through no plan of his own, he takes one of them down. The other one (who was ACTUALLY trying to kill him) has disappeared for the rest of the movie.

4) They never used their guns. Even though they're shown with guns a few times, they try to punch, stab or impale Blart instead. Or decide to go after him one at a time.

5) They didn't NEED to take the hostages. They attacked at closing time and scared the mall patrons into running away. They could have just stayed in disguise and sneak in. No reason to tip your hand by pulling guns out as folks are already leaving.

Of course, these aren't the only flaws. The movie SERIOUSLY drags until "Black Friday" (and a good bit afterwards). There was some funny stuff with the Segway but the movie makers thought they had comedy GOLD whenever it was on screen. Not, not, NOT worth seeing it in theaters. Maybe a dollar theater. And that's only if you really have time to kill. Otherwise, just wait until it's on cable and you can flip the channel.
