Underrated Romantic Comedy
14 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Recap: A cash-strapped half-Italian aristocrat who lives in London try to make ends meet by taking in lodgers in his (once) luxurious house in South Kensington. He still has lots of connections with the jet set and frequently goes to the best parties. He knows a lot of women but never seem to really catch up with anyone. But his two Italian lodgers who shares his taste for the good life seem to have better luck.

Comments: First off, this is a bi-lingual movie, but mostly it is in Italian. Not a real problem though if your used to read subtitles.

In my opinion it is definitely underrated. A romantic comedy that mostly follows the usual recipe, but with some special ingredients to give it extra spice. One is the division of the story into three mostly equal parts, each one centered around one of the men living in the house and in search for love and happiness. What's special is that the characters in the movie are part of all three stories mixing the stories up. A lot of opportunity for confusion and freak encounters, with a goodhearted tone, makes up for fun situations and good comedy.

Not a movie that will make you roar with laughter but makes you smile most of the time. Maybe not the movie to build your evening around, but definitely worth a watch while waking up an early morning...
