The "spoiler" this review contains is the fact that Goal 3 has nothing to do with the first two installments of the series. Sad.
This failure of a film can be summed up rather easily. It has absolutely nothing to do with the first two Goal! movies, and follows two completely new and worthless characters. I somehow sat through the whole thing despite becoming thoroughly demoralized about 10min into it, and the movie was terrible. 90% of it was green screened, it was tacky and the story was brutal.
The producers of this movie owe Goal! fans an explanation as well as an apology. Where is the 3rd movie we had all been waiting for? How on earth was this movie series derailed. I guess I will have to read the book in order to find out what really happens to Santiago and the rest of the crew.
