Warning: Spoilers
In "Dutiful but Dumb", directed by Del Lord, the Three Stooges (Curly being the third Stooge) are employed as magazine photographers Click, Clack, and Cluck. Of course, they don't know what they're doing! After they fail to produce a photo of a movie star, their editor sends them off to the fictional town of Vulgaria, presumably to get them out of the way, where cameras are forbidden on the penalty of death.

Highlights: By far the best and most celebrated scene in "Dutiful but Dumb" is the ending, in which Curly becomes the hapless victim of a live oyster in a bowl of soup. Moe and Larry slam the windows down onto the heads of their pursuers, and Curly "plays" their heads with a pair of xylophone mallets. A man becomes frightened of a camera accordion on Larry's head. And listen to the Stooges' Vulgarian football chant!

In addition to the Stooges, "Dutiful but Dumb" boasts an excellent supporting cast that includes Vernon Dent, Bud Jamison, Fred Kelsey, Eddie Laughton, Chester Conklin, and Bruce Bennett.
