New in Town (2009)

It's Minnesota and people talk funny get used to it!
30 December 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This movie starts out at Siobhan Fallon (Blanche Gunderson) house when they start talking about someone renting a house that her realty friend Frances Conroy (Trudy Van Uuden) told them about. Renée Zellweger (Lucy Hill) is an executive at her company and they decide to send her to New Ulm, Minnesota to close a company down.

Along with the release of the "Did you hear about the Morgans?" I'm starting to wonder if this is a re-occurrence of something just off from "New In Town". Scrap booking, Tapeoka, and the accent that reminds you of the movie "Fargo" is all you need for a good laugh. I have actually grown up in North Dakota as well as Minnesota so just to see them poke fun at Minnesotan's is just really funny to me to see. You may not think as Zellweger as being a comedic actor, but plays the business lady just trying to figure out her life throughout this film. Harry Connick Jr. rather plays a likable character Ted Mitchell which I really don't recall see him seeing in him anything else at all, but has done well in this film. If anything you will come away with knowing people can change and find out new things about themselves that they once never thought could happen.
