Yuriy Norshteyn's talent as an animator is amazing. In this short movie he uses his warm style that infuses his creations with innocence, ingenuity and frailty, to make a simple but beautiful movie about a Hedgehog walking through a scary mist to reach his friend Bear so they can eat together while counting the stars.

Along the way he gets lost and becomes afraid but is also helped by several animals in the forest. In the end he arrives to his Bear friend. Simple, with little conflict, but heartwarming.

Yuriy Norshteyn, like many other good animators like Jiri Trnka or Wladyslaw Starewicz, is quite difficult to find. His work isn't readily available. But for anyone lucky enough to see one of his movies, it'll be an unforgettable experience.
