I downloaded a little MP4 file from archive.org, titled Robinson Crusoe and crediting Georges Méliès. As it runs only for 1:17 minutes (no title cards or sound), and starts and ends abruptly, I suppose it's only some fragments of the real thing.
However, the Robinson Crusoe story is so well-known that I had no trouble in identifying the roles: Robinson, Friday, and a few fierce natives. In all brevity, we are even given two "acts": one, Robinson and Friday being chased by the natives, first on some mountain, then in front of their cottage. A shotgun appears to solve that problem.
Act two: inside the cottage. Robinson attends to assorted animals, then reads to Friday from a book. The latter is more interested in the parrot, however, which in turn drives Robinson mad. The End. (?) If it weren't so venerably old, no one would bother - but for friends of really old cinema, it's worth the short while it lasts. :)
