I didn't have high hopes for American Pie Book Of Love when I watched it, however I did expect like Naked Mile and Band Camp to be mildly amused for an hour and a half and for it to have a least some originality. However after the opening ten minutes I knew I had made a bad decision, the acting was horrible and all the jokes where either stolen from a previous American Pie film or just completely ridiculous... what is amusing about someone being raped by a moose? or killing an old lady?
The acting however was probably the worst part, with all the leads being so terrible that I won't even bother to look up their names, the stand out performance was by Louisa Lytton who comes from Eastenders, she had about ten lines but I was surprised how well she pulled off her character.
If you like unfunny, ridiculous, regenerated comedy then watch this film, however if you like funny and original (at the time) comedy watch the first American Pie or American Pie 2 as both of these are far far superior to the newest addition which barely deserves the American Pie name.
