It is a film for everyone,from children to older people,but each one interprets the movie in a different way,For the children it is merely a fantasy story about a cruel,ruthless king and his subsequent downfall.But it is a story which gives us an idea of rulers in our modern democratic world.The film also showed the oppression on the people coming from the lower stratum, by the people at the top of the society. It has a much greater inner meaning which makes me watch this movie whenever I get a chance.Salute to Satyajit Ray and the actors who acted brilliantly.I will also mention the name of another genius Utpal Dutt who gave a fantastic performance.
