Yeah it definitely references Scorsese's TAXI DRIVER, but seems more homage than anything. The story itself was very contemporary and did a good job of presenting a pretty political subject in an unbiased way. It's non-linear and doesn't follow any conventional formula which may be off putting for some, but is something I like. I found myself pretty engrossed for the whole movie and thought the ending was intense. Technically it looked great. The camera work, lighting and off kilter editing definitely set a tone. There was solid acting throughout. It seems like one of those movies you need to watch more than once to catch everything. Also appreciated that the movie was just over 70 minutes. Too many indie movies are too long - IMHO.
