I liked it...

Warning: Spoilers
You know what? I may belong to a minority but I actually enjoyed watching this movie - and still do from time to time. I like their music and I listen to them a lot (I shockingly also like several of the "approved" bands/artist mentioned in many other reviews - who would have guessed?).

I think its admirable how into their music the Jonas Brothers are, how they give everything from the beginning to the end of the show. They're doing a good job (...because that's what it is, their job; I'm well aware that they're not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts - just like any other artist isn't).

As of their voices? They're no Michael Bublé or the likes but then again, a lot of artists aren't - so what? It's not like they're the worst singers ever. I've heard worse. At least you can clearly hear that they're performing live - as they've done per usual since they started out half a dozen years ago (quite some time before Disney came into the picture, mind you). Again, there are a lot of big names who use playbacks and are still considered good artists.

About the fans: I don't mind the screaming girls - they, like me minus the screaming, had a good time. It's a concert movie so I didn't really expect a script like in a normal storytelling movie. Some of the anecdotes about their tour life or show life are interesting some not so much. I don't think it's bad that some of the scenes were staged. The Brothers explained more than once that they were retelling actual experiences from their past. What's bad about that?

Finally I have to conclude that I accept the fact that a lot of people don't share my opinion.

But the way people review/criticize saddens and angers me. Often it's derogatory and condescending not only to the artist but also to the fans. Not liking or even hating something doesn't give you the right to talk down and outright insult people - no matter who or how "bad" they are.

You don't like it? Don't watch it! If you realize that only while watching: just stop watching! If you need to publish your opinion do it in a civil and factual way! Constructive criticism and general respect are the key. Any civilized person should bear that in mind.
