The Silence of Bees is a short film that is about a daughter father relationship. The short film really is just about a daughter and father talking to each other in their back yard. Maybe trying to bond more with each other. The father who is around his 60's is an alcoholic writer who lives in an island away from everything. His daughter Alex who is staying with him tells him she is about to go back to Flint Michigan he tells her to stay and then they talk about how she should go back to writing instead of working as a nurse. She tells him that she is happy just the way she is and that she does not need to go back to writing. Really that is all there is to it. This is a very short film to depict anything else. You really can't get much out of it if its only a couple minutes long. Overall I think it was an okay film. The setting and cinematography used makes the audience feel like they are in a cozy and comfortable place.
