Before I begin this third installment made me squirm and jump just as much as the second film but no where near as the first. It helps if you know the first two movies because all the weird stuff happening is linked. I liked this third one, it takes things back to when the sisters from the first two films were little. The origin story of why the entity followed them from kids to adults is explained to a point but there are still questions that need to be asked. The concept remains the same with video footage interjected together and this one being set in the 80's, VHS rules. See it before someone else tells you the ending.
