This is a movie made from the play, period. As a result the script was great and the acting extremely well done. The cast is superior. The plot so true to life and addresses many of the issues facing black women. The emotions of the women portrayed in this film were real and so well done. I was emotionally carried throughout the picture and I felt as if I knew the characters at the end of the film. This was a unique effort amongst all the other films coming out of Hollywood these days. Congratulations to the casting director! A very skillful and accurate selection of talent. There are several of the actors that deserve some sort of award recognition for their performance. The only negative that brought my score down was the fact that it doesn't flow like a film. It flows like a play. I would recommend this film as a must see for any member of the IMDb community.
