This is a terrific movie, especially for a family. Having a ferret as one of the main characters is a unique twist to the child and pet theme in movies. The movie deals with bullying, grief, and forgiveness. Anyone can relate to the main character, Jake, struggling with a major loss in his life, without much support from his surviving parent. The bond with his pet ferret started to bring Jake out of his shell of grief when he faced the loss of his pet as well. Jake responded to protect Jasper, leading both into danger where the bond of love is tested. Connor Stanhope provides a solid performance as Jake and Falcor ferret made an adorable Jasper. I wish the movie was longer to provide more character development, especially with Jake's family. It is well worth seeing, and purchasing a copy.
