Review of Promisiuni

Promisiuni (1985)
broken world
21 April 2012
a child. two fathers. an error. and victims of a cruel war. the film is a page of social fresco , very promoted in Communism. emotions, excellent cast, tension, a drama directed by one of greatest names of Romanian cinematography, Elisabeta Bostan. it is difficult to define today. because dialog may be fake - a common situation for Romanian Comunist cinema -, the situation strange, in few aspects, the final solution - not very inspired. but the science of young Medeea Marinescu to give each nuance to her character, the opposition between Ion Caramitru and Mircea Diaconu characters are pieces of a decent movie about a great error, need of sense , broken world of a child, ambiguous feelings and close door.
