This is one of the absolute BEST movies I have ever seen in my life. It is superbly directed, written, photographed, designed, staged, and lit. The acting is great, and the story is wonderful, even though the end is sad.
Roberto Benigni deserves even more accolades than just Academy Awards. He deserves great praise as one of the best directors of the century. He really, really knows what he is doing in telling such a superb, profound, and important story about the power of positive thinking toward life, love, those he loves, and mankind itself.
This movies is unforgettable, and will touch your heart like none other has done. It makes you smile. It makes you laugh. It makes you cry. And, it makes you really, really appreciate life and what you have. You don't need riches to be happy. All you need is to love and be loved. Real, honest, and unconditional love.
This wonderful movie has a prominent place in my collection, and I will see it over and over again for the rest of my life. I suggest you get a copy for yourself.
