Parade's End Episode #3

Warning: Spoilers
When Christopher gets into an accident in battle causing him to loose some his memory, giving Slyvia the chance to redo her relationship between her and Christopher, so she takes the chance. As he starts to heal he remembers more of Valentine and we get to see even more how he is not suited for Slyvia as his brother says himself. In this episode Slyvia has found out about Valentine and through a series of looks and phone calls she try's to stop the affair she thinks has happened but we know it has not.

Slyvia this week had become more of a sympathetic character as she got her faith showed more and more confusing me on how this woman could have maybe had her baby with Christopher, but I guess that is just the type of woman she is. Christopher has been changed since his accident giving Cumberbatch some greatly written scenes opposite everyone. Also impressing me once again is Clemens as Valentine who is destined for Christopher even agreeing to a mistress with Christopher. The supporting cast was not used to the full this week as the episode seemed to be about the love triangle showed so well be the director technique Susanne White has used to single out the screenplays by Tom Stoppard. The Costume Design is just as great. All these elements are making for a huge improvement over the first episode, this miniseries is become to far distant from comparisons to Downton Abbey which it is nothing like.

EPISODE GRADE: A- (MVP: Rebecca Hall)
