Prometheus (I) (2012)
9/10
A great sci fi that explores the possibility of what's out there.

The archaeologists find a common painting amongst the caves suggesting a star map, a location where extra-terrestrials may live. They believe aliens had some hand in creating human life so off they go with a crew on board the ship called Prometheus to see what's there at the destination. A prequel loosely based on the film Alien directed by Ridley Scott. You don't HAVE to see Alien to understand this film but it may help or entertain you as there are similarities between the two.

There are a lot of complaints but this film was made in a certain way, a way that it's open to interpretation. There aren't as many plot holes as others suggest, most people just do not understand it. If you pay attention and think for yourself then you can enjoy this film.

The acting is great, Michael Fassbender does a wonderful job in portraying a robot. The SFX and cinematography are excellent. One thing this film did a great job in is the atmosphere, it really makes you feel like you're out in space and on another planet. The script is good, it doesn't spell it out for you which can be a problem for some people as most films now tend to spoon feed you. You have to think for yourself.

There isn't much action in this film. It's not an action oriented film but a film with a story. I was blown away by the film with an intense scene that hasn't been done before on the screen with great special affects. It's a mystery film with a lot of unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered in the sequel to this.

It's loosely based on the theory that Earth was visited by Aliens and had some hand in creating human life or evolving mankind. If you're a fan of extra terrestrials, then you'll enjoy this film.
