Review of Last Resort

Last Resort (I) (2012–2013)
1/10
Complete Fantasy (and not in a good way)
4 October 2012
There are too many flaws in this dreck to list them all but suffice to say it is unrealistic in virtually every way. If you are the type of viewer that expects plausibility in your military/political dramas you will be totally disappointed. If, however, you are unfamiliar with the U.S. Navy and its ballistic submarine force and it doesn't matter to you that missile sub sailors can double as special forces land soldiers or you believe that it is permissible for junior officers and/or enlisted crew to question orders of national security and argue with the captain you might enjoy it.

The scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of close-ups of all the pretty sailors (some are even female) and the captain gets to clench his jaws frequently enough to make viewers believe he is a serious officer (although he and the Chief of the Boat call each other by their first names).

The only thing worse than watching this fabricated fairy tale is acting in it.
