The Silence of Bees is a great short film that can really capture the hearts of its viewers. The story of the film is about a bond between a father and his daughter. The two seem to try to be pushing each other away. Jim Beaver, Parker Lam, openly shows how much he wants to be with his daughter. On the other hand, Sharon Garnier, Alex McKenzie refuses to show her feelings to her father openly.

The story of the film is very emotional and touching. However, it felt more of a trailer to me due to the length. It felt as if the story is just beginning to unfold when it ended. The cinematography adds to the emotional effect of this film. And the same scenario applies to the acting. However, only Jim Beaver's really made me feel emotional and touched. His acting felt very realistic while Sharon Garnier's acting felt very scripted. Despite this, the connection between the two felt like a connection that you would actually feel between a real father and daughter.
